First Class Product
Great product, well built and works a treat. It sounds very simple, just plug it in as required and off you go but many complain that only one output works as did mine. However a bit of research showed that optical/spdif input to some devices can be tricky and is dependant on the initial sourse. In my case the sourse was a new Samsung tv, 2024 model. They have put only one sound output on this (and other!) sets, a digital optical only. There is no headphone output on the tv at all and none on their very expensive soundbar either. If sound volume was rated 0-100 my better half would need about 30, me around 90 so I needed headphones and I needed them to work at the same time as the soundbar. The soundbar worked fine on a single optical cable direct from the tv. When I fitted this splitter and a new cable ther was no change, worked fine. My Sennheiser wireless headphones had no digital input so I had to fit a digital to analogue converter to the second splitter outlet first. Didn't work, at all. To rule out the splitter I plugged the soundbar into the second splitter outlet and again it worked fine in both. In the end it was the tv. Some devices, like my headphones, will only work with a standard stereo (PCM) input. Modern TV's default though is a Dolby stereo which just does not work with some devices but some soundbars work with both. In tv (or device) settings, sound mode, change this from Dolby to PCM and job is done. Headphones now work fine. Hope this helps.

Well made and does what it says
I had an optical feed coming from my music centre and needed to split it - one feed to my studio speakers, one to my surround system and one to a bluetooth splitter. This did the job perfectly. There is no loss of volume, the digital signal didn't degrade and no noise was introduced. It is as easy to use as you could hope - plug the input (ToSLink fibre optic) cable into one socket, and the output cables into the others. It needs a power socket to be available as the digital stream needs enhancing. There is a red LED to indicate power is on, but it is not too bright.Other than that, it does what it says on the tin - turns one optical stream into three. The manufacturing quality is excellent, the price is well worth it. The power cable has a decent length.Mine has been running for nine months without a single hiccup. Highly recommended.

Works well with Phonak Hearing Aids
I purchased a passive splitter prior to getting this from a different manufacturer, but I experienced lots of drop outs in the audio. Bought the active version of this model and it has solved the issue. One star removed because it doesn't have an off switch.

Very happy with this purchase
Small, well made, reasonably priced and works flawlessly when a passive splitter did not. Note needs a USB-A plug and optical cables although USB cable is supplied.

Work great would recommend
This work well as I have joined two old Sony sound bars together with one slot free. When connecting the cable don't push to far or really hard as is will make the flap stick. I wish this had type c connector to power it but this is micro usb to power it. I would recommend this product for anyone who wants to connect three devices. To connect to the laptop or pc or phone use a audio toslink to usb. To the phone using the adapter toslink to usb and then a usb to type c work. The toslink to usb now has different types of other adapter released one I have seen is a toslink to type c and other.
