Perfect everyday hat. I've put this hat in the washing machine over 20 times & it doesn't lose it's shape or fade. I just purchased 2 more. Definitely recommend this wonderful hat.

Wearing it in Jamaica right now. Light weight but she's remarkable job of repelling rain yet let's your head breathe.

Overall, I am happy with the hat. The zipper compartment is cute, but does not have a use for me. The one star loss was for the hatband. It looks easy to adjust and it is. The problem is that it is too easy to adjust. The clasp loosens over the day. But even w/o rain on a sunny day, it was not too hot as you might expect a non-cotton cap to be. And yes, crammed in the backpack or suitcase it came out looking like the pictures, no wrinkles or creases.

This does the trick! I wear it in the rain and sun. Waterproof just like it says. Very comfortable.

I am a crossing guard and I use this on rainy days along with a raincoat. This keeps the rain off my face and head. It is lightweight and stays on in the wind, and I like that it doesn't create crease lines on my forehead. It does appear to be waterproof. The bill is a bit longer than any other baseball hats I have, and that is especially good in the rain for keeping my face dry. The fabric has a bit of sheen to it, but that doensn't bother me at all and I've happily used it in dry sunny weather as well.

The adjustment latch strap hangs down. There is no way to stow it.The waterproof hat is light weight and soft.
