Couldn't find what I wanted at the box stores so took a chance by ordering online. I don't need Alexa in a vent, nor a clock there's one on the stove. Wanted sturdy, powerful but quiet, and not fussy with extras that will just break. Super happy and installed quickly, be warned it is heavy so have a friend

Another Update:I took my refund and had a body guy repair the dent, it looks as good as new. I finally got it hooked up and absolutely love it. It isn't too loud and is very powerful. I would recommend this product.Update:The manufacturer refunded half of my money.Bought this for my and wait for the remodel to be completed, just opened it and found that its dented and it's to late to return.

This is a really nice, well constructed unit for the money. Looks great and is quiet enough to not be annoying.

Well, the instructions don't match the stainless model or have a single picture in them. Only one of the two exhaust fans actually operate, but you have to hope it turns on by turning it on max and then adjusting it if it starts. Sometimes you just get that I'm a piece of crap humming sound. When you turn it off it sounds like aluminum cans rattling around everytime. The fan isn't balanced at all so it has a lot of problems in general. The led lights are weak...I mean like landscape lights from the aughties weak. They are also bluer than fluorescent and look so cheap. 5 watt LEDs are pennies why such crap light? The stove is wired for and outlet, and only comes with the round exhaust port. It's a nightmare to install, you'll need at a foot extension bit to try and keep straight while you hold this heavy behemoth screwing them in from below. The aluminum grates are sharp as razors but much more jagged. To say something nice, I do like that the stainless model is unbranded. It's a clean look, but with thought I wouldn't put my company name on this piece of crap either. I'm returning

We bought this because it was physically identical to one we wanted from another manufacturer but was priced a little cheaper. I'm wondering if we should have just sprung for the more expensive one because although we're satisfied with the unit, we're not exactly thrilled by it.First, it's loud. not LOUD, and certainly not as loud as the unit it replaced at full power, but it's still plenty noisy even on the lowest setting. our previous unit had a quieter low setting than this one, which we miss as we would like to leave it on the lowest setting for a while after cooking just to clear the air more. with this unit, the lowest setting is still loud enough to be distracting.On the other hand the suction is far superior to what we had before (only 200 CFM at max) so I guess it's a tradeoff. still, would like to have seen a quieter low setting.But the biggest disappointment is the lights. these things are DIM, basically USELESS. I contacted the seller to see if either the lights were faulty or if they could at least be replaced with brighter bulbs, and they indicated that this is absolutely the way they're supposed to be and that we absolutely cannot replace them with brighter lights, because they are proprietary.I swear I checked this before buying as I didn't want to get proprietary bulbs but I guess I mixed this up with another unit. If you care at all about the light provided by these and don't want to be stuck when they burn out, you should definitely consider another unit.all in all, it's OKAY; we're not unhappy with it. but if i had to do it over again, I would probably spring for the more expensive one that didn't have proprietary lights.

Work perfect with strong fan and easy install

We’ve had a very large microwave mounted above the stove for the longest time and while fully vented to the outdoors it didn’t do a good job of clearing steam/smoke from cooking. I was very excited when I found this item and I’m glad that I did. I put forth a lot of effort installing this item, mainly due to drywall needing to be leveled and smoothed behind it along with painting. I also had a pretty serious draft that would really heat up the kitchen in the summer and make it very cold in the winter. This product solved many of the kitchen cooking issues. The vent system is a dream and has its own damper, to let smoke out & keep cold air from coming into the kitchen. The led lights are a huge plus, I’m able to clearly see my cooking area without any problems. It’s easy to clean as the metal baffles come right out along with the oil drip pan then wash them in warm water with mild soap. Once I got it installed I made sure to cook some food and wow it does a great job of clearing out smoke etc. The functions on the control panel are lights on/off and three speeds for the fan. In general if you already have a vent hood this could be an easy upgrade. Might need a little more configuring for someone with a microwave depending on how it’s vented. They included a template to put on the wall and under the cabinets to mark & drill your holes. This took lots of guess work out and made the job so much easier. The black finish looks nice and I really like the touch of stainless steel on the baffles. Not only does the stainless steel look good, it also makes it much easier to clean. On a final note I wanted something that I didn’t need to wire directly into the house, this comes with a regular outlet plug built right into it. I already had an electrical socket in the cabinet for a microwave/vent hood. Overall I’m very impressed with this item and I’m very pleased with its performance. Give it a try!
