Original Miele bags and filters, they work beautifully.
Finding the right bags of the right quality is becoming more difficult as both online and high street outlets plug their 'Own Brand' replacements which are often inferior, or split or do not filter out all the dust and pollen.Fortunately, some on-line sources including this one are up to the job, and these bags AND filters, being the Miele FJM sized originals, are excellent. Value for money is about right. You can pay a lot less for clones, but take the risk of splitting and more dust and pollen leaking through.They win hands down when I think of their clean convenience and my time saved by using these bags on this Miele machine compared with inefficient bag-less systems with their expensive and forever clogging messy filters.I'm not quite convinced by the claims for Miele's new self-seal flap-valve (sometimes doesn't close properly when the bag is overfull) on these Hyclean bags, but it works much better than the original 'slide-shut with a pull' system.

Always buy genuine Miele
Now, I'm not averse to getting third party options for certain spares in my household. Sometimes, economically, it is far cheaper to buy an unbranded component than the real McCoy, even when the life of the former is shorter than the latter. For Miele vacuum cleaners, however, I would always advise that you should buy the genuine article. Regarding the bags, Miele seem to invest quite a bit of time into making them very sturdy and with enough capacity to satisfy most demands. In my previous life selling vacuum cleaners (among other things) I would always hear about how a non-Miele bag would either split or simply clog up before its time. Without getting too esoteric, the Miele machine is a bit of a delicate ecosystem too so buying the correct parts not only massively extends the life of the item, but gives a noticeable boost to suction. They're not cheap, but they do last a while and they are designed to make sure that, when removed after being filled, they are not prone to let out plumes of dust, something which the cheaper ones do.Amazon has asked me to rate 'Sheerness'. From what I understand, Sheerness is a perfectly pleasant seaside town at the northern point of the Isle of Sheppey and is home to around 12,000 people. Apparently, Rod Hull attended County Technical School there (sans Emu). I gave it four stars based on the fact that I haven't been there, but the pictures look nice.

Cheapest branded Miele bags I could find
Miele vacuum cleaner bags are very expensive so I was pleased to find these branded versions were a bit cheaper than anywhere else. That said, my vacuum cleaner has been going strong for years - hope I haven’t jinxed it now!

These are what you should use in your Miele vacuum.
Very well made and a perfect fit. This item prevents smelly, musty exhaust air from entering the atmosphere (for the most part). Having used aftermarket filters, which were very smelly, I decided to go with Meile. Solid choice. Pricey but entirely worth its filtering capability. JUST BUY THEM....
