Great LED accent lights
I would recommend these to anyone, have stuck them along the front of a long worktop in the kitchen (underneath front edge). Literally 100s of colour combinations and effects to choose from, but white looks the best in our opinion. Bought a second set for utility room and use the app to control

Work fine. Just dimmer than i expected!

Remote control is overly powerful
ProsLights are pretty and are easy to break apart and join with supplied connectors. The motion sensor is very effective aven the cat has the power to turn them onConsThe LEDs are too far apart so it makes each light along the strip look like little individual spotlights rather than a smooth light.Remote control isn't directional and alters all of my lights around my house and possibly my neighbours too...This is good going as my house has flint in the brick which normally blocks signals. So if I alter one colour it alters all the rest. The only way I have found to stop it is by using a dinner plate with tinfoil to make the signal aim. However hardly convenient.Other issue . Yes they are RGBIC which looks pretty as the colours flow across however you can't lock it in any of the patterns or even pause a particular colourway. Which is annoying.Having said that for the price they just about do what I want them to if you are bouncing the light.I think next time around I would buy ones with closer LED placement and maybe more control over the colourway.

Total waste of money!!
Bought 3 sets for my kitchen and what a complete waste of time and money!!Stopped working after only a few minutes. Poor connections which all seem to be different sizes. Also the mains power connector is either too tight for the connection then opened the other box and the next one was loose!! I'd never ever trust these lights to be left connected to the mains for a long period of time. AVOID!!

Nice but hard to connect to Bluetooth
The media could not be loaded. These are nice but connecting them to the app is so confusing! I’ve had them for a while and still can’t control them through the app so I just leave it in one colour. They also switch off too quickly in my opinion.

Lights flash
The LED lights flash in ALL settings except FULL on and Lowest setting. Luckily, I need the lights to be in the lowest setting. If you can use the lights at either the lowest or highest setting then I recommend them.

May not be exactly what you are expecting
This is a strip of small COB LED lights spaced closely together with a adhesive tape backing. Includes an inline on/off switch with dimmer control and a USB type A plug for power. It is 2 meters long. There are many uses for an item like this, but the product info may be misleading. The product info states you can bend it around corners but you really can't - you can bend the tape part around corners but you can't bend it in a square or circle to go around a mirror, for example. Also, the pictures show a diffuse strip of light, but you can definitely see each individual LED, and they are quite blue - the yellow strip covers all of the LED's and contains some phosphor that is supposed to make the light more white, and it does a bit, but it does not diffuse the light from each LED.I wanted to use these around my computer monitor to light up my face for use with a web cam, but there are two problems - you can't put them in a square around the monitor, and the small LED's are too blinding, even with the lights dimmed down. A diffuse coating to smooth out the pinpoints of light would be helpful. The inline switch has 3 buttons - up, down, and on/off. If you press the up or down buttons, the brightness changes in steps. If you hold them, the brightness changes smoothly and you let them go when you have the desired brightness. When you press the on/off button, the lights go on or off, and when they go on, they return to the last setting - even if you unplug the USB power. The lights come with a USB type A power adapter but when I used it, when the lights were dimmed to any level, the flickered randomly. When they were at full brightness, there was no flicker. I tried a different USB power adapter, and a power bank, and the dimming function worked fine. The power adapter that came with the lights is just landfill at this point. The COB LED's are bright enough at their brightest setting, and with 640 of them close together, you do get a good amount of light out of this strip. It is too blue for my taste, but that gives the appearance of brighter light as our eyes are more sensitive to that color. These might make good emergency lighting - you could run them along a baseboard, or a fireplace mantel, and if the power goes out you can easily run them off of a USB battery power bank. They don't really create what I'd call an ambiance, but for emergency lighting, they would be good. You could also use them for back lighting or up lighting a wall, but I think it would be best to keep the COB LED's out of direct view and let them illuminate the wall indirectly.PROS: 2 meters of small COB LED lights close togehter Good brightness Smart controller remembers last brightness, even when power is removed Good length power cord Easy to power with a USB power supply or battery pack Best to be used as indirect illuminationCONS: COB LED's are not diffused, looking directly at them is not good Tape cannot be bent around a square or circular object like a mirror Included USB A power adapter is junk - will not allow the strip to be dimmed properly

strange little lights
great description and reviews! this isn't the "neon" type that look like continuous tube of light. they are fairly dense though, and result in a fairly bright light. they leave spots in my vision in daylight in a lit room, so they are pretty bright especially for 5V! Bonus points for dimmable, though only via the hardwired remote.I think as a TV backlight these can be pretty decent. They are a little harsh on the eyes if not seeing indirectly! They don't have much of a diffuser on them and the individual LEDs bother me - but I think under a shelf or in a closet or anywhere you can bounce light off of a wall/ceiling these aren't bad.I'm puzzled by the gift power adapter. As stated in the description and reviews, don't use this one on the lights. Not sure why, it is a 5V 2A exactly as they recommend - but it says (and is) somehow unsuitable for these lights. I think that's what all the complaining about flickering is from. So that means you need your own! Side note, older TVs may not have 2A USB ports: my "smart" Sony does not! I have run these plugged into a different wall wart and from my laptop as I cart them around the house, and I don't see any signs of flicker on dim or bright.Speaking of dim, the directions say 10 step dimmer, but my remote only clicks through 6 of them. Still, nice to have an easy to access dimmer. The adhesive is good (3M) and everything about the lights is sturdy. So 3.5 stars, I'm ok rounding up because they pretty much are as advertised. Now off to mount these on a desk....

Brightens My Dark Wardrobe Area
Our home has a bit of an odd construction in that it's a log cabin kit, with a loft area that opens into a "great room". Everyone raves about the appearance, but there is a problem, in that the back room - which just happens to be where I run my Evil Empire out of - has a low ceiling, with only one window on the West side. Which makes it dark even on bright Sunshiny Days. These LED lights looked like a good solution. They were fairly easy to install, run off of a USB 5V power source, and really made a difference in lighting up the wardrobe area. But there are a few things you should be aware of if you plan on purchasing them.1) The cord is a bit short, particularly if you want, or need, to install these more that a few feet from an AC outlet. I solved this problem by using a USB A Male to USB A Female extension cord. You could also use a standard AC extension for this purpose.2) The adhesive backing on the Led strip is two-sided 3M, and if you aren't careful, you will pull the stickum completely off of the LED strip. I know - I did. And re=broke a nail for my troubles.3) If you plan on keeping the lights on the brightest setting, no problem. It's plenty bright, see photo with this review. The issue will be in using the dimmer. It will work, but you will re-create the '60s with a strobe effect. Not a problem with me - if I want to dim them, I will just cue up "In-a-Gadda-Da-Vidda" by Iron Butterfly.Turn on - Tune In - And Drop Out!OVERALL - Good lights to brighten a dark corner. The dimmer will cause them to "strobe", though.
