Q: In the picture the front blade tip looks longer/bigger that the back blade. Is this the case? I am looking for scissors that can cut right at the tip.

For anyone having problems starting to cut an inside circle, try piercing the material or paper with only one blade to start the 'hole'

Q: Looking for the right scissors to cut super fine minature u shaps and other super fine miniscule details in paper? think these would be great?

That is exactly what I use these scissors for. I have a youtube channel on decoupage and I am forever recommending these scissors for all fine and tricky cuts in paper. The other option is to use a cutting matt with a knife, that also works really well. Hope this helps!Patioelf on youtube.

I don't know what your hq represents. High quality? They are an excellent precise pair of scissors. Highly recommend.

Q: Are they good for cutting plastic canvas ?

I don't know. They're good for paper, and very sharp. I use Joyce Chen kitchen scissors for heavy cutting: 28 gauge copper, etc. They might do your work.
