The media could not be loaded.  I saw some reviews saying it didn't go round the loop or hook onto the chain itself. We had no problem it going round the loop but it wouldn't hook on the chain without a little nudge. I added a lump of blue tack to the front of the car to make it a bit heavier, problem solved :⁠-⁠). Works a treat now. The blue tack should also help if you're having problems with the loop.

The car that come with this set is snapped in half! So the whole set has been a waste of money, my son’s Christmas present we haven’t even been able to set it up and I can’t seem to find the cars sold separately online. I have a very upset son with his kinex set still in the box

Purchased this to go with my other knex roller coasters as it was on offer. Good enough kit but a few issues:1) The chain is fiddly to get working. I followed the instructions to the letter and it was either too lose or too tight and either the chain came off or the car wasn't picked up. Had to move the top cog closer to the top to get it to work2) One small missing part - thankfully I had the same piece in another kit. Could be frustrating if you don't have a spare as it will take time to arrive!3) Whole thing moves - I don't remember this being so bad on my other coasters - Seems to jump around the table far to easily.Also the experiments all just feel tacked on to sell the coaster - if education was the main purposes they could have skipped the chain and motor and just done a cheaper kit.

The car cannot get over the full loop and a slight design flaw which does not hook up the car to the chain. Otherwise a good fun for kids

It's great for 7-8 year olds to start building something more advance than Lego sets. Its different from Lego but the assembly principles are the same. If you wanna try smth different from Lego, that's the next one to choose. Though lego has Technic sets which are similar but this one is completely different. All as seen on displays and on the packaging. Great bonding thing to do with your child. Unlikely he can do it himself at 7-8 years until you do several first pages with him

Opened up Christmas Day to find small yellow sticks missing

Fun to build with my 6 year old son but it just doesn’t work quite as well as you’d want it to. The coaster car doesn’t always latch on to the belt to be pulled up to the top of the ride and it doesn’t gather enough speed to make the loop-the-loop.

Super fun to build together or just explain the technique and let them go with it. Clear instructions are nicely chunked up so that for each stage in the instructions we could; collect the parts, pause, assemble the main parts, pause, then connect the new part to the main build so fit in small amounts of time across a normal day. After we built it and played with it, we disassembled it and all the pieces went back into one zip lock sandwich bag in the box. I reckon in a few months time, we'll get it out again and rebuild it before passing it on to someone
