It is a great little book

Lovely drawings from the master. I told bedtime stories to my kids over 30 years ago from these lovely books. I bought them both for my daughter so she can make up bedtime stories for her own kids.

I have been looking for this book for years.As a child it was my all time favourite book but my copy got lost in transit on my journey from Oz to the UK.I am so happy to have found a good used copy.I sat in the corner of the lounge and had a quiet moment and a chuckle as I read it and for a moment I was ten years old again.Magical book that just shows what a brilliant talent Raymond Briggs was, and it arrived the day he sadly died!

As with all Raymond Briggs - brilliant. Granddaughter absolutely loves the film and loved this too.

One of the best Christmas books to read to little one

Great book, but didn't arrive in great condition. Corners bent and needed a wipe over as was dirty.

its a classic both for child and parent of whatever age . Funny observant , and priceless humour for situations we all have been through at least once .

I like it because it is funny... Also I remember that when I was young...

I read the book in Chinese version when I was a child, and still remember almost every detail. The book was so impressive for me so I bought a new one as a memory of childhood. I use the book to tell Father Christmas story for my boyfriend and he loves it as well. But I think some details may only be understood by adults, not kids. BTW the book I bought was a used book, but it is still very new with a good quality.

Loved that story and the pictures when I was a little child.
