Bought this workbook specifically for my son, a third grader and also a special education student who has speech delay and comprehension impairment but surprisingly good at math. While my son is able to decipher the patterns for numbers and rules of arithmetic, he still needs assistance when it comes to the word problems. This workbook provides a variety of sequential word problems (each question is associated with each other in a cohesive and coherent way) for my child and I to work on, our strategy is to turn those 'excessive' words into the combination of numbers and symbols, then write down the calculations step by step, aka multiples steps taken towards the problem solving. This is a solid and well-structured workbook for my child to practice math, great to pair with in-class learning activity (as a supplementary homework on a daily basis). Absolutely recommend this workbook!
