Easy to use and looks good
I recently used this to silicone the expanding joints on a fireplace, needing something with reasonable heat resistance. Was a bit tricky to apply as the instructions state NOT to fill the joints, but after some initial wobbles getting the hang of it, it turned out pretty well. Not yet into fire lighting season (the area has since had a firebox returned to it) but hopefully that everything will hold up well.

An exact match to the Mapei ultracolour plus grout
Mapei Mapesil medium grey sealant was a perfect match to the same colour of Mapei ultracolour plus grout. Excellent product - was easy to apply and smooth off (using a 10% fairy liquid/90% water spritz).As an aside, note that the Unibond "special materials" grey sealant is NOT a good colour match to this Mapei product although the tube colour indicates that it is (I purchased Unibond when I ran out of the Mapesil product as it was not available locally. The Unibond colour dries much lighter than the colour indicated on it's tube).

Not Correct Item - Misleading Listing
Misleading item description or incompetent at picking the right item. This is supposed to be Mapesil AC Silicone based sealant.This seller is sending Mapeflex MS45 which is a non silicone based paintable sealant and the complete wrong product for the job. Do not waste you time as now need to mess around with returns. It’s also Mapei Italy product and not Mapei UK products to match our colour range.
