Fireman Sam - Mountain Rescue Helicopter with Tom

Bought to replace the same product so already knew about the toy. The construction and quality of the toy is excellent. The rotor rotates using a mechanical push button so NO batteries are required.This is not a flimsy product and is robust enough to withstand the play of a 3/4 year old boy.

Paid over the odds for a plastic model that is 8quid cheaper in B&M. There is even a stamp on the helicopter that says B&M and the address. The Tom figure is awkward to get in and out which my 2 year old gets frustrated with. Not sure how long it will last being played with.

A fantastic toy arrived in one piece my boy loves it and the button to make the propellers spin. I read some reviews and decided to leave the figure inside for now as my boy is 3 and easily frustrated:-)

I ordered the helicopter for my grandson who was nearly three. He already had one but put it on the settee then sat on it and snapped one of the rotor blades off. I tried gluing it but it fell straight off. He loves the helicopter, the only thing is Tom, who is supplied doesn't fit in very well, he is just slightly too big. Also this was expensive, B & M sell them for £8.99.

Like the Tom Thomas 4x4 the item and character is far too big for the rest of the range. Why did they create some oversized items instead of sticking to a limit. Obv when you play with the other characters and items they don't fit, it's too big for the helicopter pad, etc etc. Also the little strap bed does not attach or fit to it. But of course you can't have the range without the helicopter as it's one of the favourites.

I bought this toy for my 2 year old, but he got totally frustrated with it and I had to put it away. The figure is difficult to take out or put back. My child's fingers are not strong enough to press the button that makes the blades rotate and if my son holds the helicopter by the tail then his hands obstruct the blade. For now this toy is going into the loft as it just makes my son frustrated, we'll try again when he is older.

Good sturdy toy, only problem my 6 year old has is getting the figure out of the seat as it’s quite tight once in there. Great toy otherwise
