I bought this to complement a larger dark brown Peugeot pepper mill. I personally think the two colours and sizes work well together, they aren't too different but it's easy to see which you've picked up at a glance, sort of resembles a chess set. The grind settings are a nice touch.

Excellent salt mill. Good price for the Peugeot one. As it was a gift for somebody it would have been nice to have a box.

Nothing comes out when set out in fine grade. Having used Peugeot mill for decades, this level of workmanship is unacceptable.

Although Peugeot are now known for their cars and bicycles, historically they were a general engineering company and they came up with the design for the original pepper mill, made famous by Italian restaurants around the world. Most of the ones you can buy are based on the Peugeot design, but aren't as well-made as the originals. Salt mills have to be a bit different from pepper mills as salt grains have a different size and textrue from peppercorns, and are also corrosive. The bottom of this one rotates to adjust the fineness of the ground salt. Unlike most mills it doesn't leave behind a little pile of salt on the table where it has been standing. It is definitely the best one I have used, and the same goes for the matching pepper mill. Although it is a bit expensive, you get what you pay for and I therefore feel it is good value.

Quality item. Does what it says on the tin. Don't bother with fancy electric grinder. We tried many. This is all you will ever need.

Very nice and well made....as always. Love that I can adjust the grinding degre. Only gave 4 stars because it was not filled with salt like described.

Disappointed that it does not work on the lower/finer settings and this is a replacement as the first mill I received did not work at all. Fair play to Amazon who provided a replacement. I think it might have been better to get a mill which had a fixed setting. If you prefer having larger salt crystals then it is quite good.

Il primo che mi è arrivato gia era con un pezzo di vernice rotto. Ho fato il cambio, mi è arrivata nuova. Ma fra precisamente uno anno si è rotto completamente. Non trita niente. Calcoliamo che non era usata ogni giorno, credo 3-4 volte a settimana. Non è la qualità di una volta(

Snygg kvarn av hög kvalitet. Bra att en kan välja själv hur fin-/grovmalet saltet ska bli. Dock skulle jag vilja ha det ännu mer grovmalet.

Ayant été offert comme cadeau , fonctionne très bien .
