Q: I have a huge head how will this fit?

It is knit so it is stretchy. It depends on how other knitted hats fit you. It is a typical slouchy knitted hat reading size.

Q: The hat looks a tad bit different in the two pictures, which does it look like more? The first is only blue and the second picture is black and blue

it did not flatten out as much as it looks in the picture with it "on". But it was not a bad purchase.

Q: if you fold the bottom up will ther still be air room on top ?

I got this for my husband and it fits him just like it looks in the picture. I would say no air room on the top. Although he does have what I would consider in a hat size a large head. Hope this helps you TJ.

Q: Does it shrink if this beanie is machine washed? What washer settings would you recommend?

Although winter is not here in our neck of the planet yet, I recommend washing this in warm and rinsing in warm. Works for me, low tumble dry. It makes it soft and not too rough when wearing it all day if needed.
