So, do you need spares tubes?
So I bought these at the same time I bought my SS-02 sucker, I assume if you’re reading this then you probably either own or are looking to buy the SS-02, which is, hands down, the best solder sucker and the only solder sucker you will ever need to buy.So do you need spare tubes? I use my SS-02 for my hobby, and therefore it’s not in constant use as it would be in a commercial or industrial environment, but I still use it a fair bit, especially when working and fixing retro computers.I bought the SS-02 in 2018 along with a pack of these replacement tubes at the same time, each pack contains 2 tubes which you snip into smaller pieces for the sucker.I’ve not opened this pack, in fact, I think in the entire time I’ve changed the tip once.I think these are going to last me until the end of the lifetime of the universe given the rate I have had to replace them!If you’re using the sucker 24/7 then you might go through them, but I think for most people you’ll probably never use enough to warrant buying a spare pack!

engineer stuff is awesome
i own a lovely engineer solder sucker. i lost the supplied tips, so when i needed a new one i bought these. i adore my engineer sucker. i would sooner solder gets sucked off by me, using one, than any other way.i love sucking off. any difficult join is no problem. no matter how hard i suck them off. i suck them all off.

These were used for a solder sucker tube replacement. They are expensive but around the same price as else where..

Great that they even sell this!
Engineer tools really are the biz and this just shows why - built to be used in a professional capacity, spares available! Quietly the tip of the excellent solder sucker had gotten nasty from flux etc so it's easy to replace.

Very tubey and silconey
If you have the tool that this is designed for, you will need to replace the tube end at some point. The tool dictates, just by how much solder it can remove, that you will be taking the tube off frequently to clean it. The tube will become slightly baggy after a while - and either start to compromise the seal or will fall off and become lost. This part can keep your investment running.
