Q: Is there a learning curve to figure out how to use it?

There is a tiny bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang -of it, you're good to go. It's a fun curler. I highly recommend it.

Q: Why is the English in the product description so broken?

Because the company that sells this product is obviously not in the United States. If you looked into this product more, you would see the business address listed as Shenzhen Guangdong which is in Hong Kong.

Q: How do I get the automatic hair curlers to take my hair into it?

For this particular curler, the directions that come with it are actually pretty good at explaining exactly where to put your hair and what to do. It's hard for me to explain, but you place the section of your hair across the top and into the little notch over the side. When you press the button to curl it, the center will rotate and grab your hair pulling it into the curler. I followed the directions that come with it and found it pretty easy to use.
