They are short. I'm 5'8" and it only covers part of my waist. But I do like that I can adjust it to fit tighter.

Yes, I wash mine ever other time I wear it. It has held up well to laundering.

It is supposed to be used to bring your flesh back up closer to your midsection after you lose the weight using other methods.
