Manora Uncooked Shrimp Chips, 500 g

These are amazing! We couldn’t be without them now and always have a pack in the cupboard. They have really improved the quality of our meals. They take minimal effort to prepare. A few tips - heat a good amount of vegetable oil in the pan, but don’t make it too hot, the crackers burn easily. When you think it’s hot enough out a small cracker in and wait until it puffs up. When it’s hot enough, put a few crackers in but be ready with a slotted spoon or something to remove them fast! They burn very quickly. I don’t tend to put many in at a time.. maybe 3/4. Sometimes I have to push them around the pan to make sure all of it has cooked. Sometimes there are hard bits left if you haven’t got your oil right. When they’re done I put them on a plate topped with a paper towel to soak up the excess oil. As they’re cooling down, the crisp up. Then they’re just like the crackers you get from a Thai takeaway. The flavour is perfect, they are a little bit spicy but I don’t mind that. They go with a variety of dishes and although they take more effort than buying these ready made crackers in the shops they are worth it for the taste. They’re also a fraction of the price of the shop bought ones. This bag lasts such a long time, gives an accompaniment to countless dinners, the portions work out really cheap. If you’re thinking about trying then go for it. They are great value for money. You won’t be disappointed.

First time cooking these. Had always bought the white prawn crackers. Wow what a difference. So much flavour. Great texture and good size. I served to family members who were totally won over. Will definitely buy again. Great value too!!. Full of flavour.

Tasty, spicy (think Thai - not prawn - cracker from your chinese) good portion. I always re-order

Very spicy... Could not eat... had to throw out. They puffed up quite nicely. And taste (before I got assaulted with slow coming spiciness and turned into a dragon) was quite good. Strong prawn flavour. There is a lot of them. 4 stars because there is no warning in the listing that the item is this spicy. I'm used to buying the already puffed ones from the "Asian shelf" in markets and they are normally not spicy. If you are not a wuss like me you will probably like it.

I really like the taste, but came broken

I wish I liked these! They are definitely very good quality and I sense they are truly authentic (but I don’t know this for sure). Unfortunately they are too strong in flavour for my taste. Ironic because normally prawn crackers don’t taste of prawn! These taste like they are loaded up very generously with thick, fermented prawn paste. If you like it, they must be amazing and market leading. If not, the strong flavour makes them unpalatable.

At first bite, felt it was too spicy but at continuous eating, it's really good. It's thick when chewing and not oily at all as compared to another type I recently bought.

I've always loved the crackers in Thai restaurants as opposed to the white ones you get in Chinese restaurants, but I've never been able to find them to buy them in shops or online, then I came across these! I was a bit dubious at first about having to fry them, but it is so easy! They look and taste exactly the same as the ones in Thai restaurants! Prob a bit dangerous now i know i can have them whenever I want 🤣

After a long time, found the prawn crackers served in Asian food restaurants. Good quality, taste. You really need to love prawn taste, or else you'll not enjoy this. They're thick, tasty and consumes less oil, you need knack to fry them, be delicate!

You can make a good portion from the 500g. Tastes good. We love it. Delivered with care in a bubblewrap and very fast. And we ordered again.

i expected broken small pieces as i read in reviews, but i received product in good packing and in good condition, taste is superb, i used it as snacks with drink.
