The hat is very well is constructed warm in the winter time in cold weather I have used it now in 20° weather time to be very comfortable very warm able to keep cold air out of my lungs very very pleased with his hat I definitely recommend it for the money this burger you can get will recommended

Hello all...well, I've had this Trooper/Trapper hat for almost a month now and have had an opportunity to put it through some harsh weather testing. LOL, the day I received it we had actually received the first snow of the season, which was great!...but, the next day the temps warmed up and the snow level moved back up to 9000'! I tested for warmth on the day I received it...the faux fur is very soft and comfortable and it is WARM, very warm...to the point when I started to perform physical tasks I started sweating just a little. Again, not uncomfortable as the hat breathes very well and remember this was at 500+ foot level, so no wind at the time. Over the next week or so, temps warmed up a bit and we had many days of rain. WATER RESISTANCE test!!!!: Now to let you know, I did not treat or spray any "water proofing" on this hat, I wore it as is straight out of the box! We had 3-4 days of squall like weather...high winds, torrential downpours, etc. The first time I wore it was in a downpour in high winds on the roof of my work while trying to stop a leak in the roof. I was up there for 2 hours...No water leaked through the hat, my head was completely dry! There were also wind gusts up to 45-50 mph/72-80 km/ph...wind resistance on this hat is fantastic! Given the fact that the hat was new, I wanted to try again...shorter time periods but in heavy rain...passed again, both times. I noticed at the seams that water would settle and be absorbed by the material, but wouldn't seep through to my head. The rest of the material however, the water would bead up and roll off. Very nice! The material AKASO uses is very similar if not the same as Carhartt uses on their "Storm Defender" rain gear. Great job guys! A few weeks later I returned to the mountains for the warmth test. I conducted this test at about 3400-3600 feet. The snow level had dropped back down to this point and at the time of the test the temp was 31 degrees F/-0.5 C... no wind but a nice brisk breeze. I was wearing this hat at first without the face mask. I got the dogs geared up, put on my snow shoes and we headed out for a short 1/2 mile/0.8 Km hike. Snowshoeing is a laborious activity and again the hats warmth was amazing and yes I was sweating...but again the hat was breathable and comfortable. When we made it to the halfway point I stopped to purposely let my body cool down rapidly, I removed the hat. It didn't take long for me to start getting cold and breathing in the cold air was starting to hurt...I put the hat back on WITH the face mask and began hiking again. The hat helped instantly warm my head and soon I was warm and toasty again! The ability to breathe through the mask without my sunglasses fogging is a huge plus! I also didn't feel stifled or like I was suffocating while breathing through the face mask. breathing through it was very easy. We finished the hike and the hat passed with flying colors. I am looking forward to using this hat up in the mountains this winter. A few suggestions to AKASO....First, other color combos for this hat would be cool, lol, like say...traditional red plaid :^D Second....my dogs are not Huskies, Malamutes, or Saint Bernard's. They are herding dogs, when I take them up in the mountains for long periods, they need warm waterproof clothing...see where I'm going here??? A whole new market for you! This hat I had purchased due to a lack of proper winter head wear after starting a new job a few years back, and overall I am very pleased with the purchase. The hat is comfortably snug for my head size, and very warm when I wear it. I'd suggest using it when the weather is fairly cold, in the 40's or lower as it can get hot. The detachable face mask is nice, especially now during quarantine. This wasn't a concern when I bought it, but now it happens to be one. If you wear glasses you'll already know having a mask with glasses will cause them to fog up, but that's not an issue with the hat itself. Build quality is good, hat is holding up well so far, nothing falling apart yet. Only negative is when wearing the hat, sound is very dampened but I can't hold it against the hat for the insulation it provides, that is to be expected. Overall I'd suggest this product should you be in the market for this style of winter hat.

When I first tried on the hat and the mask, one of the clasps on the mask broke. As I was registering the product on their website, they asked if I was satisfied. Naturally, I selected no and wrote that the hat broke.Almost immediately I had an email from the company asking how they can make it better. (An actual human, not automated). I informed them that the mask had broke when I tried it on and asked about an RMA. They offered me a refund, to which I asked about just getting a new mask sent to me.Instead of sending me another mask, they sent me a brand new hat. On top of all this, I received a free gift when I finished my registration. I will definitely be ordering from Akaso in the future.The hat itself is warm and very comfortable, the neck gaiter keeps your neck nice and toasty and the mask keeps your face warm. It also doubles as a regular mask for when you need to go into a store. I highly recommend this product.

I bought three different colors of these hats for my triplet boys. I also got a more expensive trapper hat with real fur for my husband. All the hats arrived on the same day, and the hats for my boys were of excellent quality. They were ruggedly built, came with the neck protector and excellent face mask. The fur was SUPER soft and plush and the entire hat was well stitched together so that even my destructive twelve-year-olds will have a hard time tearing these hats apart. Not that they want to – they LOVE their hats. The masks are also rugged but comfortable. They can be snapped on to the hats, or worn alone with the straps around the ears. (I don’t know why anyone would want to do that. Wearing something pulling on your ears can get old and painful quickly.)My husband tried on his more expensive hat. It was nowhere near as well-built and we immediately returned it and ordered him another one of these hats. Once it came, he loved how warm it kept his head. The hat ran a bit large, so sometimes he wears a beanie underneath to keep it more snug. There is absolutely no problem with keeping warm in this hat though. In fact, once our friends saw these hats and how warm and well-made they were, they bought five more of these hats in different colors for them and their children to wear! We live in Missouri and winters can get bitterly cold, especially with the winds we get here. These hats have already kept us warm in an uncommonly cold winter. I would recommend this hat to anyone. Excellent value for the price.

Feels like a thousand chinchillas gave their life to create this wonderful softness on my head but the material is syntactic and animal friendly :)The quality is exceptional and merits a price hike because they are giving it away at this price. I half expected some poor Chinese craftmenship but figured I’d take the risk and man o man am I happy with what I got!I have a fairly large head and was afraid it would be to small. I’ve tried plenty of hats of this style and have been disappointed.I honestly wasn’t going to review it because I hate having people wear what I own but I’m flabergasted at how good it is.Will test it in the Quebec snow hell thats approaching.

Tried the hat with the face mask attachment for the first time last night while shoveling the driveway. The temperature was about -15C and the hat was toasty warm and comfortable. The only place where cool air can sneak in is at the nape of the neck at the back when one looks down, however, the hat also came with a scarf/band type thing that can be worn around the neck to keep warm. I'm quite impressed with the quality of materials and the aesthetic of this hat for the price. Recommended.Update: I don’t often feel compelled to recommend a product so highly but I think this is my favourite purchase this year. I’m amazed at how comfortable and warm it keeps my head and face in the bitter cold. It’s amazing how much better it is to be out to shovel or go for a walk in -30C with a toasty noggin. Besides, the complete look has a ninjaesque couture.

I bought this hat for the Canadian blizzards but haven’t tested it outside yet. The quality of this product is amazing and looks/feels great! The neck thing that it came with is just a piece of stretchy fabric. It seems thin so I don’t know if it will protect against wind storms. Overall this is an amazing buy and with the 3$ off right now it’s a no brainer! Also there was no weird smells !!I’ll provide an update after I put it through some harsh Canadian winter conditions.

This hat is amazing, it’s super warm and if you use the neck gaiter as well as the included mask it is much warmer than any ski mask I’ve ever come across. The hat and neck gaiter is warm enough to supplement a ski mask in most applications. The inside top of the hat is not fur it is a very fine thread count material that feels very nice. It’s almost silky feeling but still more like fabric than silk. The outside of the hat appears to be waterproof and feels like a very high quality fabric. The fur is like the softest Blanket you can imagine. It is truly very very nice against your ears and the side of you head. It is on the sides and about two inches of the back of the hat.

Ich habe mir diese Mütze bestellt, um mit meinem Hund im Winter Fahrrad zu fahren. Bislange verwendete ich immer Strickmützen, die jedoch nie gur saßen und ständig verrutschten. Um die Ohren abzudecken, musste man diese schon soweit ins Gesicht ziehen, dass der Bund in Augebrauenhöhe war, was mich persönlich sehr störte. Heute (bereits nach 2 Tagen Lieferzeit) kam die Russenmütze bei mir an. Ich hab sie sofort ausgepackt und anprobiert. Sie sitzt tadellos und macht zudem einen (für diesen Preis) sehr wertigen Eindruck. Gute Verarbeitung und ein flauschiges Tragegefühl, bei einem geringen Gewicht. Was mir sehr gut gefällt, ist auch der Clipverschluss für die Ohrenklappen, dessen Länge sich zudem indivduell anpassen lässt. Die Mütze entspricht genau meinen Wünschen, sodass ich sie bedenkelnlos weiterempfehlen kann. Für ganz kalte Tage kann die Mütze auch mit dem mitgelieferten Nasen- bzw. Gesichtsschutz versehen werden, der sich über Druckknöpfe befestigen lässt. Zudem war noch ein dehnbares Halstuch dabei, welches sich ergänzend über den Kopf bis zum Hals ziehen lässt. Es ist ausreichend breit, dass man es auch übers Gesicht ziehen kann. Mir persönlich ist das Halstuch sowie der Gesichtsschutz etwas zu eng, weshalb ich einen Punkt abziehe. Ich bekomme sie aber im Notfall dennoch angebracht, denn diese beiden Utenbsilien benötige ich eh nur bei extremer Kälte.
