Getting red light to work
If you really want the red mute light to come on the MixAmp it's possible but you got to have the solder skills to do it.. the pins in the middle are neutral and pins in the corner are on and off. Find the ground side and the corner pin that is closest to it put 100 ohm resistor between that PIN and the mic line back into the mix amp

Static buzzing caused by cable and mute button doesn't work properly
At first the cable looked and felt like good quality but thats about it. Performance wise it had too many issues - If you're using this for the mix amp pro with the dials the mute button doesn't show you the visual mute status for your mic (lights on the mixamp would turn red when muted) this cable doesn't do that compared to the original astro cable - Loud buzzing when volume turned up high from this cable - Even when volume turned low you can still feel the static in your head causing nausea Overall this cable does not meet expectations

Poor quality shielding
Poor shielding results in grounding buzz in the headset. I have confirmed this side by side with the original, and by touching various ground points on other devices connected to the PC.

I'm so happy with my purchase of the MJKOR Replacement for Astro A40 Inline Mute Cable Cord. It works perfectly with my Astro A40 Headsets and the mute function is very convenient. If only the sound quality was as good as the physical quality...
Cable looks and feels premium, even more so than the cables that come with the A40s. Unfortunately, functionality of the cable does not match. A faint buzzing sound can be heard almost 24/7 as well as white noise indicating that although most sounds will not transmit through microphone, it is not completely muted. In-game, the mute button stops my voice from transmitting but does not stop the game audio playing through the headphones from transmitting. Even though you're mostly muted, you will sound like you're playing on your living room television with a cheap headset and your speakers on full blast.
