It’s Gorgeous, but Heavy!
I plan on converting my spare bedroom into an office and I decided to purchase a corner desk for my computer and accessories. I have been researching a variety of corner desks for over a year and decided on the Bush Furniture 48W Corner Desk. It appeared to be sturdy, and viewing images on-line, the dark cherry veneer fit my requirement.I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful cherry veneer desktop! I wasn’t expecting the desk to be this nice, especially the side/leg supports, which are a deep grey ash color, almost black. The colors work well together. The desk is made of particle board with veneer/laminate for a surface, and the price on Amazon was quite reasonable.I was worried about damage during transport, and after receiving the desk my worries were justified. I paid the delivery fee to have the desk delivered to any room in my house, which was well worth the cost. The delivery technician had difficulties handling the large package by himself! Once the package was placed in my home, I immediately checked for damage. A few of the package sides were almost open, luckily some of the large staples were still intact. There were a few punctures in the box, but fortunately nothing was damaged!I would like to recommend to Bush Furniture that this desk be delivered in two separate packages. The desk top could be one box with the remaining components in a second box. In this way, the weight will be more distributed and less difficulty in handling. I have received Sauder furniture with separate boxes and the end result was less chance for damage.Assembly was fairly easy using the pictorial instructions provided. I am a small female, weigh about 105 lbs., and in my 60’s. I was able to assemble the desk by myself, but required assistance in lifting the desk right-side up. I read reviews before the assembly process and found a number of them were very helpful. One reviewer pointed out that sides B and C required the pilot holes to be opened and drilled deeper for the 3” screws. They were spot on! This delayed the assembly by 15 to 20 minutes while assessed the situation and used my drill with the appropriate drill bit to modify the pilot holes. I was also careful not to tighten all the fasteners until the components were lined up properly.Overall, the assembly took about 2-1/2 hours, which includes unpacking, reviewing components, reading instructions, and organizing the appropriate tooling. I also labeled the inside of each side/leg for easier assembly. If you are looking for a beautiful, sturdy, professional looking corner desk, I would highly recommend the Bush Furniture 48W Corner Desk! I plan on buying one of the straight desks (36”, 48”) as an extension once my office remodeling is more complete.

Heavy and took a couple hours to put together, but this desk is well worth it
This desk is perfect for me. Lots of space, looks gorgeous, feels very solid. I have three monitors (24" in middle, 2x22" on the sides). They are all on monitor arms.Pros include beautiful, sturdy, good space, good cable management, curve where you sit is really excellent. Exactly what I was looking for.Cons: I couldn't attach a fairly standard monitor arm base to the back left or right left, where I wanted to put them. I put my middle monitor arm through the far back corner cable hole, and that worked well for one monitor. I had to put my left and right monitor arms further up toward the front, where the left and right main "legs" of the desk stop, and the desk is open underneath. Past that, and around the desk, is only about 2" of "clampable" desk area underneath. I also didn't need to get all three monitors on monitor arms, as there is plenty of space to just use regular monitor stands, even on three monitors. I have a ridiculous amount of space because of all monitors on arms, though, which I love. I hate clutter on my desk, so I'm very happy. Also, shipping/getting it into my apartment was a pain. The thing weighs around 110 pounds. I helped the UPS driver haul it up to my apartment, and putting the desk together took a long time, though it wasn't overly difficult. It's not enough to take off any stars. The desk is absolutely worth muscling it into place after putting it together for a couple hours. It's possible it will get a few scratches in shipping, but mine arrived just fine.Overall, awesome desk. Make sure you have space using the picture with measurements (super handy image by the way, "Bush Furniture").

Solid desk but read the reviews
I purchased two Series A 48W Corner Desk units and two Series A 36W Desks to set up a home office area. I read the reviews of others and and was not surprised when my order arrived. One of the 48W Corner Desk units had shifted significantly during shipping. Upon opening the box much of the Styrofoam packing was broken and there was slight damage to the desktop surface on the right front corner. I chose to keep the desk as is as the damage is out of the way how I have setup the units plus I didn't want to wait for a replace piece and considering the box the original unit came in basically had to be destroyed to open the box, I really had no way to send it back.Assembly was rather straight forward and easily accomplished by myself. I was concerned about getting the desk unit upright after reading another review where the person said it took him three weeks to find a couple of strong people to flip the desk. I am not a strong person and being 60 years old I found the desk easy to flip upright myself.I was very pleased with the second 48W Corner Desk unit as it survived the shipping process with no damage. My biggest suggestion for Bush Business Furniture to spend a little more on the packing materials used for the 48W Corner Desk units. They are very heavy and probably should be shipped laying flat, not on end. The other suggestion is modify how the back corner leg is assembled. After reading another review that said assemblying the back corner leg was shot in the dark I chose not to follow the instructions by not fulling assembling the back leg prior to installing it. Instead I attached the portion of the back leg with the pegs first as this allowed me to see whare the screws needed to go. I then finished the assembly of the back leg by attaching the second piece. This forced the screw holes to line up and made finishing the attachment of the back leg much easier. I did this for both units. The two 35W Desk units both faired well in the shipping and assembly was quite easy.At this time I am happy with the choice I made for my home office space. My only concern now is whether or not I can get the corner desk units out of the office area should I need to move it.I am considering ordering a third 48W Corner Desk unit but have not made that final decision at this time.
