Needle Threader Insertion Tool Applicator Handle Thread for Sewing Tool Machine

When the integral needle threader of my jearly new machine jammed I was despondent as, having bought it second and, I had no guarantee. I was recommended this little gadget by a member of my sewing group who paid £5 for one from a local shop. My friend told me that you could get them on an auction site very cheaply but that she had bought a couple from there but discovered that they were not up to the job and binned them. I was therefore wary of this when searching and decided to buy from a reputable firm, Austins in the uk. Im glad I did as it was well packaged, arrived quickly and with a guarantee that if it didnt work I could return it.Well, it does work and has the added bonus of a little gadget on one end that helps you insert a new needle into the machine. Thank you Austins. Im very happy.

This was purchased to enable me to fit a replacement needle in as I couldn't get my fingers under the machine head very easily. This tool does this quite well. The threading part needs some practice to get the hang of it, I found that having poked the thread through the eye ok it pulled back out when withdrawing the blade part, you need to grab the loop so formed with tweezers or similar item to prevent it being lost again. It took me three goes to master this, so not to bad then. Once mastered this is quite easy to use and I have awarded 4 stars.

A bit fiddly initially, but with perseverance, I am now able to successfully thread the needle of my sewi machine with ease

The principle is sound, but it doesn't always work. Finding the eye of the needle can be a bit fiddly, the thread doesn't always get picked up by the insertion blade, and when it does go through the eye it is difficult to remove the threader without pulling the thread back out again. I would say it works 1 time in 3. The needle inserter is useful.

Handy for when I’m changing needles in my overlocker and threading the needle is super easy

The directions were perfect. Followed them to a "T". However if you're using a single twisted thread or any thread that's not substantial enough, the very cheaply made peice of metal that's supposed to pierce the EYE OF THE NEEDLE, will not pick the thred up. It will therefore not work as advertised.PLEASE! Don't waste your money. It's a cheap device that likely cost 2cents to make.Note: I am totally familiar with needle threaders on my 3 other machines. So the concept is not new. This simply is not worth your hard earned money.

Brilliant little piece of kit, works every time IF YOU HAVE THE CORRECT SIZE NEEDLE-EYE FOR THE THREAD!If, like me, you're used to leaving a fairly large needle in the machine to save constantly changing needles when using strong thread etc, then try to thread standard/thin cotton, the little prodder that pushes the thread through the eye can push aside the thread rather than pushing through the eye.USER ERROR ☺

I thought this item was useless. No matter how many times I tried to thread the needle with it it didn'the work although worked when putting in a new needle.
