Awesome. had them 6 months now and no problems.Unbelievable price, i was going on a long vacation and wanted a back-up battery, so i bought this spur of the moment.This battery charges a little bit longer than the one that came with my nikon, but this one also lasts longer than the stock battery as well.When used as a pair (together in my battery grip) this battery with my standard nikon lasted me 6 days (also left my camera switched 'on' one whole night) on my vacation, with no recharge of either of them. i took over 2,500 pictures, and i still had juice left in them when i got home. really is a must buy if you dont want to hastle with lots of recharging.there arent many reasons not to try this out for such a low price.

I own several DSLRs and my Nikon D40 is one of my older ones. I had two original Nikon batteries for this camera and they both died recently after several years of use. I usually buy the original battery from the manufacturer because they are ALWAYS better. I have a MAHA battery tester and I know that the generics never have the same capacity as the original. So why am I writing a 4 star review for this battery? Well, because of the price. It has about 80% of the original battery and has been going strong for several months. Some of the generics I own are only 30-40% of the original! Imagine that! I really couldn't justify paying full retail for the Nikon for this battery. For an older camera that doesn't get much use, I can live with more frequent battery charges.

After a quick charge the battery worked perfectly! Very satisfied with the purchase!

It works with my D40X, charges quickly, and seems to have a long life. I shoot a lot of pictures and I rarely charge or change my battery; so I can't comment on the reliability of this as I haven't charged and discharged it enough times. I purchased this because there are times when I drain the battery but unless I'm leaving the shutter open for extended periods or just forget that the charge is low before a trip, it's very rare for me to drain a battery.This battery seems to last just as long as the OEM nikon en-el9, but as I said it's so far between charges I can't make a great comparison.
