Target Grade 5 Edexcel GCSE (9-1) History Superpower Relations and the Cold War 1941-91 Workbook (History Intervention)

Excellent revision book for history

I'm trying to help my son pass his History GCSE next year - he's not very academic and needs a lot of help. I was hoping that this book would have worked answers at grade 5, given that the exam boards want very specific answers to very specific questions. The book gives technical guidance on how to answer these questions but the Answer section in the back of the book only says "student's own response" which is not very helpful. I expected specific and organised content that is required knowledge to achieve grade 5, for example a list of consequences, importance, narrative account etc for every conceivable question that could come up, perhaps in bullet points - something visual that students can memorise and build on. This book doesn't provide that, only in bits and pieces and not in a comprehensive way. It's not a bad book, it's just not what I was looking for. I like that the pages are matte and not glossy - much easier to write on.
