This is the perfect size mold to make treats for my students. If we have a pot luck, that last thing I need is a full size cupcake, small bites are better because you can have more! This is motivating me to try homemade Twinkies, which I never did before because a) I don't care for them and, b) I didn't have the molds. Now I can try it and use whatever cake I like as the base. I know it will come out fantastic because the molds are reliable and homemade is best. I'm very pleased with this purchase. A+

The media could not be loaded. I felt scammedI am a pastry chef and i bought these molds to make small tarts, I couldn’t find them in stores nearby so I needed to find them online. Super disappointed! as soon as I opened them I realized they’re NOT carbon fiber or metal (usually this types of molds are made of metal) they are plastic! You can see in the photos and video that they say max temperature is 180º Celsius or 365º Fahrenheit (which is not a lot) but I still wanted to give It a try, I washed them and made some tarts and the molds didn’t burn or melt BUT the tarts had an awful plastic taste!! I cannot use this things again for my clients. DONT BUY!

The only thing there is to complain about this product is that the package could have been made at least 80% in size by putting two of the cake rings inside the other ones. The cake rings are clearly made of metal as they are cold to the touch, handles heat from the oven well and makes all the correct metallic sounds when dropped. I think the size and the shape of cake rings just looks too tasty. I could eat them as they are. However, they do work great for the things I tried and the cakes turned out just as delicious looking as the cake rings themselves. This weekend my next treat will be, miniature oval baked flat bread sandwiches with oval shaped eggs on top.

It feels like it's plastic, even though it isn't... doesn't feel sturdy enough... It is one of the lowest quality products I've ever bought here.

Simple and elegant solution for creating perfect small tarts, cookies, pies, rolls and such. Precision light weight aluminum alloy rings with small holes allow pastry dough to cook evenly, browning to perfection.We first used them to make miniature key lime pies. The crust was exquisite, flaky and golden brown. Very impressed.They're easy to clean, like stainless steel. The little holes had a few sticking crumbs that were easy to remove just by rinsing in hot water.There are a few choices for sizes and shapes. We like the 6 inch rounds but would also like to try the ovals.

I got these specifically for the oval shape. The mistake I made was relying more on the pictures, rather than the measurements. Because I thought the oval shapes were roughly within the same ballpark size as the other designs.They are very quaint in size; compared to the others designs. And they're made different. The other designs gives ingredients more breathing room. I guess there is a positive and a negative to both designs. Since I don't have the other product to compare it with; maybe the other ingredients would dry out more with the holes in them. Or maybe they would end up undercooked without the holes. I am not sure.Getting past the size, and design of the product. .. These are great little bite-size oval shape serving sizes for various desserts, and appetizers that you might want. I can see myself using these way more than for cheesecakes. They would be great for finger sandwiches. You just use these to form your bread shapes, then start building your sandwiches.I think they would also be great for little meatloafs for appetizer trays. They would be great for salad jello molds. I mean... I can see this mold being used for all kinds of different dishes.They're not that expensive; so they're worth getting. But for my original purpose, they are just a little too small for what I wanted them for. So for this reason... I took off one star.
