Don't let go of the band!
I have a lot of the 10 minute solution DVDs and I prefer Pilates to any of the others but don't always like the band workouts as I have a tendency to let the band fly off destroy my house. Anyway I thought I'd give it a go (for the price, why not?) and I'm not disappointed. You feel the difference after one workout although I find 10 minutes really feels like nothing so I generally do 30 minimum. There are 6 sections on the DVD but the first section is an intro and the last is a cool down/stretch so I generally only do the other 4. Its very easy to fit in 10 minutes every night before I go to bed, or before my turn in the shower and so far so good. A nice DVD.There was no band in my DVD box but I wasn't expecting one (I have one already) although perhaps they should put one in the box since its made for use with the band. If you don't have a band you can use a pair of tights.

Must have!
I loved excercises with band since I was a child. When I worked with this DVD, I found that excercises presented there are as much enjoyable as I remember from the past. The whole body, all muscles - big and small - are under control, amplitude is not big, so joints are not damaged, and you really feel that it works! My problem zone is triceps and those small "cushions" just on the back of the shoulder blade. But even those resistant areas were properly moved and slowly disappearing (I could not get rid of them for ages but these excercises really worked against them!). A very tiny minus of this set is that there is a very little time to change a band from one side to another and the band of course tend to stick together, so I am always a little late with the next set of excercises. Whenever i am not sure of what DVD I am going to do this day (and I have quite a big collection of them now), I am always choosing this one - it does not stress me and gives a fantastic result! Higly recommended!

Not for me
Very grainy and seems abit dated... the video is definitely for the more advanced, certainly not for beginners! Got abit bored.

Good workout, sadly not enough instruction
After nearly three months of using this workout dvd, I think it's time for a review.Before I tried it out, I watched it all the way through, to get an idea of what I was getting into. The first thing that I noticed was the lack of a proper introduction to Pilates, which I believe all Pilates DVDs ought to include, and some rather incomplete instructions at times.When I first tried it out, the incomplete instructions meant I had to look at the screen while trying to do the exercise, something that is hard when you are supposed to be hinging at your hips, holding a band straight ahead, and going "up and over to the right, with your hips, like so". But I learned the move, and now I just smile (because that's what you do after 20 times)There are also times when she explains something right after telling you to inhale, and doesn't tell you to exhale until she is done. She doesn't repeat the inhale-exhale instruction during the next repetition, so you have to get the breathing rythm on your own.She will tell you to keep the pelvis in a nice neutral position, but she hasn't explained what that should look or feel like, so, again, a Pilates beginner will have to find additional instruction on positions elsewhere.With that off my chest, I'll concentrate on what I like about the workout.It's fast-paced, meaning you get a lot done in a short period of time. Always a bonus!You can grow with it. Start out slow, with a lightweight band, and work on from there.You can customise your workout, making it longer or shorter, depending on the time you have or want to spend working out.The "Upper body" and "Abs" sections are a lot more strenuous than they appear!I love that stretch section at the end.I'd recommend this workout to people like me, who want something different, customisable, and fun, that will get them results. Do find a good source of Pilates instruction that will explain the basics so you can apply them when doing this workout. Buy a set of bands along with the DVD.

Good for topping up a workout
Great to be able topick short sessions to top up. Reasonably easy to follow. Good for intermediate level.

Great workout, especially for the arms
I'm a big fan of the 10 minute solution DVDs, especially if you find it hard to get motivated like me. if i'm feeling really lazy i'll just aim to do 2 sections but end up doing all 5 of them and have a really good workout! it goes so quickly!one thing i will warn you about is be careful which resistance band you use, I borrowed my boyfs, which was more like a rubber cord with handles at the end, NOT good for some of the moves, the "cord" ended up rolling off my foot and smacking me in the face at least 3 times! i couldnt continue my workout after that because i was too busy wetting myself laughing. so make sure you get a resistance band that is FLATall in all, i'm really pleased with it, the hardest section is probably the arms section, which is also my favourite!

Highly enjoyable
I absolutely love this DVD, I am very new to pilates and I have found this DVD really enjoyable. I have done it every day for a week and I can really notice I’m getting more flexible already, if just only a little bit. I don’t find exercises easy as I have osteoarthritis and my knees and wrists can hurt a lot if I put a lot of pressure on them. I adapt what I need to but using the bands is much easier than weights. The instructor has a nice calm voice and is not irritating like some exercise DVD’s I’ve had. I would definitely recommend it.

This really does works every muscle in your body! at first look it didn't seem that hard but when I tried it I discovered a challenging work there is also room for progression because you can make the band shorter to create more resistance. Great abs work out and inventive use of the band like having your own pilates machine at home. Its not easy but its fun and is of the high quality Ive come to expect of the 10MS series. I think its probably more suitable for people who have done pilates before as theres no instruction on how to find your core.

Gli esercizi sono ben spiegati - la istruttrice simpatica! Non ci si annoia e infatti è un dvd stimolante in ogni senso!

Super Super Super
Die DVD ist toll! Bin absolut begeistert! Die Übungen sind sanft und einfach, aber sehr effektiv. Der ganze Körper wird geformt, außerdem kann man auch die Intensität varieren, indem man Bänder in verschiedenen Stärken verwendet. Da kommt man schon in ins Schwitzen :-) Suzanne Bowen ist sehr sympatisch und erklärt alle Übungen wunderbar. Die DVD ist auf Englisch, das ist aber kein Problem, man kann den Instruktionen sehr gut folgen. Auf jeden Fall absolut empfehleswert!

Effective home pilates
If I could add another star beyond 5 I won't think twice. This workout is so easy to follow. With the bond that comes with it, my basic studio pilates has gone to an advance level. Now I can perform them at home when I don't have the time to go to the gym for my resistance training.

Pilates mit Theraband
Muskelkater, Muskelkater, Muskelkater! Ich mag den DVD sehr, ich finde das Training sehr effektiv und mir macht spass. Das einzige Problem habe ich manchmal wenn Übungen am Boden gemacht werden und die Trainerin schwarze Hose trägt: vielleicht mit eine bessere Kameramann hätte es besser geklappt.
