Adults and children will love this!
Bought this for my son as he really wanted a mini chopper. The thing that i love about this item is that it has the protective cage around it.I was worried at first as i know these are very easy to break and at this size most of them are in door only toys. The only thing i have to worry about is the house! He smashes this thing all over the house , in the wall, ceiling and the thing just keeps bouncing back for more.Although it does seem quite robust the parts do look like they are made very cheap. To work it you put a load of AA batteries in the controller, then pull the little wire and plug our from the side of the controller and this goes into the side of the chopper.A little light flashes on the top of the controller showing that it is charging and when the light goes out you are good to go!You get around 5 minutes of flying time out of it until you have to charge it again. The only reason i gave it 4 stars is that there is a little dial on the controller that is meant to adjust the chopper. This apparently stops the chopper from spinning 360degs over and over whilst in the air.I found this did nothing and i had to compensate by holding the right stick over slightly to fly straight ahead. That being said still well worth the buy and i'm having loads of fun with it......oh and my son loves it as well!

Comment is on the product, not the supplierItem arrived quicklyChristmas present for the grandson. He is really happy with it (if it hasn't broken by now)I thought it very flimsy for the price paid. Our son (grandsons dad) who is usually more than competent with anything mechanical etc found this quite difficult to control, it kept crashing when he tried to change direction. Think grandson will struggle to control it, he is nearly 9 and again quite competent with radio controlled toys.Overall I was disappointed with the product, knew I would be, only bought it because it was what he really wanted for Christmas

Faulty controller perhaps - not terrible otherwise
Disappointing first impressions, but will be contacting the Helpline after the holiday, so my view may change.I can’t concur with all the negative reviews before. Sure, the cage doesn’t warrant a description of “robust”, but the toy itself skips around so lightly, as long as you don’t crash it into things with branches or the like that will penetrate the cage, I can’t see why the blades would become damaged. It does look like a fun toy, and working correctly, I’m sure it would be – making it very good value for the price. My issues with the device are the controller: it takes 6 AA batteries, and these are used to (slowly) charge up the actual copter, via a small lead in the handle. As has been mentioned, a USB would be so much better, but alas a design flaw that doesn’t look like being addressed yet. After a little while of play on Christmas day, the device would require charging again. It took a charge on two occasions in total, but hasn’t worked since – so troubleshooting was the first course. The manual is extremely limited in information, and unhelpfully the main instructions are based solely on graphics without any clear indication of what these mean, let alone where on the two parts they may be found. When it comes to troubleshooting though, it states in bold ‘For “TROUBLESHOOTING” questions and solutions, please visit our website: www.airhogs.com’And what do you find on the manufacturer’s solutions page? Only a limited version of the printed manual… telling you to visit the site for troubleshooting – sending you in more circles, rather than allowing the toy to do so.Having done some research online, I gather that the flashing light with a voltage symbol on the controller means the batteries needed changing (I would have thought that might be mentioned somewhere in the manual or on the website, but no trace I can find). Surprising after such little use, but I changed the batteries for a new set. And another new set. None of this has changed the status of the controller, which now believes 18 new high-quality batteries are useless, even if some have been motoring an RC car around for about a day since.I can’t disagree that the toy looks flimsy, but in intended use – without things being poked into the cage, intentionally or otherwise – I would imagine the cage would serve its intended purpose, and protect the copter, including the blades. I never got to appreciate how easy or difficult it might be to control, or whether it steers properly though.I think this toy (and perhaps others from the manufacturer too) would be great value if they worked, let alone if they could make a few minor improvements – the first being a micro USB charging facility. The one I purchased appears to be faulty, but I haven’t seen anything online to suggest this is common, so may just be unlucky – but so too is the manufacturer, until I can contact them, as my low rating will stand at least until then.

Awesome toy
So much fun and easy to fly according to my 8 year old son.Nice and robust- has taken many crashes to the ground and still in perfect condition. Rolling up the wall and across the ceiling takes a bit of practice, but once you've mastered that, you'll be able to do it perfectly every time.Batteries lasting well, the copter plugs into the controller to charge up and takes roughly 20 mins to get a full charge which gives around 8 mins of play (which is actually pretty good compared to other things that we have had that charge in this way)

it is an amazing concept, but in reality
it is an amazing concept, but in reality, too fragile. My son broke it within the first 5 minutes of use, because one of the tiny tiny plastic bits holding the wing flew off it. Perhaps should only be used by very careful adults? In any case, not the fault at all of the supplier, and the delivery was very quick. It is just the product itself that is much too delicate.

Happy son :)
Perfectly flys is quiet resistance to falls as long as some precaution is made when shutting off power at a hight. I wouldn't reccomend this for any lower age than recommended as can still be quiet fragile but I think more than worth its value. Plenty of fun hours with precision flying along the ceiling, walls, floor and anything else you can imagine 😁

soddisfatta
