I was very pleased with the quality of the tin, but I had not realised that the dimensions given were external (i.e. including the overhanging rim) not internal. My old turkey tin had straight sides and no rim so, although I compared the measurements, the new tin's internal capacity was smaller than I had expected. This meant that the turkey was a very snug fit. Luckily, this year I had not bought the usual monster so it was not a problem.
