Perfect to keep my kiddo busy
I have an 8 yr old and don't always like him to take his switch. This is portable, easy and keeps him entertained.

Not Impressed
I mean this is cute, but with other handheld systems that are available I'm not sure it's really worth it. The games are very basic.*Received free from Amazon Vine for an honest review.

Very Basic Handheld Gaming Console with titles reminiscent of early 80s Games
PROS+288 games are built in already into the internal memory+Compact shape+Rechargeable via USB Type-CCONS-The D-pad is not very sensitive and leads to incorrect inputs which can be frustrating-There are almost too many games that are all very similar. For a young child to deal with 288 games is a bit overwhelming. Given how similar the games are too each other, I actually feel they should have cut down the amount of games and kept just like 20-30 good ones.-Most of the games are very basic and remind me of like early Atari games I played in the 80s. They're fun for a short amount of time and get repetitive after awhile...even for a child.NEUTRAL~2 additional cartridges offer a few additional games. 1 cartridge has a few math-themed games. The other cartridge has some other basic games like a Tetris-style game. Not sure why these few extra games needed to have 2 separate cartridges. They'll likely end up getting lost. The manufacturer should have just put these extra games on the internal memory with the rest of the games.SUMMARYThis is an OKAY gaming system. While the level of play is most suitable for a young child (Ages 4-8), the operating system and navigating the overwhelming amount of game titles is not that intuitive for a young child. The inaccurate control pad on our unit also detracts from the overall experience.

It's ok with lots of games but ...
This is probably ok for a 4-5 years old to keep them entertained in a car .. but it's too complicated for any kids younger than 4 and surely not good enough for a 6 or 7 years old that are often used to play games on their parent's iPhone or android phones. There are just way too many games on this little console .. some are not playable at all as the characters are way too small and resolution so low that you can barely make out what you're controlling on the screen and with others, you have to spend so much time trying to figure out how to play them as the manual doesn't explain how to play any of the games. What is most annoying is that in order to get out of the game, I had to press reset & that brought me back to the initial startup page for games and not where I selected the game so this means that I have to stroll through pages just to get to where I left out and this gets vey annoying and tiresome very fast.As already mentioned, the 3 inches screen is just barely enough to play games on any console and especially when you're playing a 8 bits games (very low resolution) from the 80s. It may be nostalgic for some of us who grew up with likes of Atari, Commodore, and old Nintendo but kids these days have such a higher expectation.Quality wise, this is just ok. For something this inexpensive, I wasn't expecting something like Nintendo Switch but I'm afraid that with any fall (over 5 ft.) this may easily break as the casing is very thin in some areas but with some care, it probably should hold up for a year or so. The buttons are well placed and I especially like the shortcut buttons on the top two side of the console. The other good thing is that it charges using USB-C and charging was fairly fast as it took only a few hours to go from zero (how it came in) to fully charged.Overall, it's a cute gift for a 4-5 year old that doesn't know any better. And it should keep them fairly entertained but not for too long as the combination of small screen, low resolution & absolute lack of any instruction to play any of the games will soon disappoint & frustrate them fast!
