COPS & QUEERS!
Manson has always fascinated me as an intelligent and Avant garde performance artist. His art goes beyond "rock genres" and is more akin to theatre or (at times) a grotesque pantomime. I brought this album on its release and then after many listens consigned it to my collection. This year I revisited it on the account that I became interested (as a bassist) in Jordie Whites playing, technique and style. From my perspective this is his(Whites) finest outing and as a bassist he drives the album forward. Track for track it maintains a strong and consistent groove with Manson's writing and direction becoming stronger than ever. All the songs could be mentioned individually for their own unique characteristics, however "The Dope Show" encompasses all of these qualities on this amazing soundscape of an album. Whites consistent, yet beautifully abstract, bass line powers the song along, in fact song is to do this work of art a massive disservice, it's a piece of performance art worthy of any thought provoking piece of theatre. Please buy this album, your collection will benefit from it............

Brilliant Album
As a massive Marilyn Manson I knew I had to get this record, especially as the price on Amazon is considerably cheap. I've listened to the whole album several times now and my personal favourite tracks are 'Speed of Pain', 'The Dope Show' and of course 'Coma White'. It has a very melodic and soulful feel with catchy tunes. And in my opinion there isn't 1 bad song on this album. The booklet that you will find in the CD comes with lyrics to all of the songs which is quite convenient and it also includes very cool and unique Manson photos. As for delivery, the CD arrived one day later than the estimated date however this wasn't really a problem as it was just one day!

A guilty pleasure
I had this album back when I was still a teenager in the late 1990s and I listened to it non-stop. A few years later I sold it in a job lot of CDs as I felt I had "grown out" of Marilyn Manson.I recently took a notion and decided to buy it again and I'm glad I did. There are some really great tracks on here. Sure, some of it sounds a little dated and hackneyed, but it can be enjoyed for what it was. Considering this came out in the late 90s it was quite well produced and the futuristic theme was reflected quite well.Even if you're not a Marilyn Manson fan you should pick this up and give it a listen.

Rounds off a CD collection.
Great album. One of the two really good ones that Manson has made. Heavy Bowie influence.

A deserved classic
I love this album, and it's the only Marilyn Manson album I loved. To me, soon after releasing this album, MM became a bit of a caricature of himself. But none of this on this splendid album which is strong in lyrics, potent in melody and massive in message.
