BUY THIS
After watching the umbrella academy on Netflix (a must watch if you haven’t seen it) I decided I wanted to read the comics. I think that the Netflix show takes a different perspective from the comic book but I think both are gripping and wonderful. I really enjoyed this and am planning on buying the next volume: Dallas, which is featured in season 2 of the umbrella academy on Netflix. I really recommend this but if you have Netflix to first watch the show and see if you enjoy it because it’s not for everybody. If you haven't seen the Netflix show the comic alone may be quite confusing. So far I have given off that the book is confusing; even if it may be confusing at times I believe that the story is still gripping and kept me hooked (I had to slow down for fear of finishing it too fast). The artwork is astonishing in its own way and unlike anything I’ve seen before- by this I mean it has a very specific style and I think it works perfectly with the plot and characters. If you like superhero comic books buy this.If you are sick of superhero comic books buy this.If you have never picked up a comic book BUY THIS.

The dance scene is terrible but don’t let it put you off
Oh my God. Fantastic.First attempt at watching I gave up really quickly as there was a bad dance scene which turned me and the tv off. Next time I tried, I got past that bit (made a cuppa) and allowed myself to be swallowed up entirely. Absolutely and totally wonderful. Gorgeous. Insane. Crackers. Loved it

Read for help
If you are deciding whether to buy these check out a couple volumes online first. Get a feel for the story. That includes if you are a fan of the show, because there is quite a bit changed. If you are choosing between versions know that the library edition and deluxe edition books are the same, the deluxe edition however comes with an extra piece of art and a sleeve. The library edition is sturdy and the pages feel closer to card than paper. They are quite heavy as well and nice to look at. I’ve seen differing opinions about the art but I think it looks quite nice, especially on such big pages. The reason for four stars is that when this book arrived there was a little dent in the corner of the book, as well as a few light marks on the cover. I don’t mind too much because it isn’t terrible but next to the other versions it is noticebale.

i loved it
it was a great read, kind of short, still good though, nothing like the netflix show so don't buy it if you wanted it to be exactly like the show. In my opinion, it was better, especially as this is literally the original story!

Apocalypse Suite
Where do I start? The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse is everything all at once. Bit of X-Men, bit of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol and even a bit of Alan Moore's Watchmen, as well as a bunch of unique aspects makes for an interesting, fast-paced story. Couple that with Gabriel Bá's amazing art and Dave Stewart's interesting colours, and we have a comic book to return to.

Well I love my chemical romance and Gerard way so when I found this comic I had to have! I gave it 5* because it has an xmen feel to it and is enjoyable, I loved reading this and cannot wait for more! If you like Gerard way and the xmen this really is a comic for you :)

Ya
It's awesome I love the art style and the writing my only complaint would be that I would like to have learnt more about the characters their relationships as it felt kind of rushed but never the less it was awesome and I would recommend
