At the time of this review, I have now been using this product for about a year. There’s quite a few different buttons but it’s easy to get the hang of, change settings, etc. It does run a little fast, but the cat seems happy enough with it! My cat is on a special diet and can’t eat too much at once. This seems to have solved all her problems, and it saves worries while everyone is out and about at work.

I was quite difficult to put together and i still haven't managed to get the timer right without removing the batteries and starting from scratch. However, being able to feed my cat for several days us a big benefit

This cat feeder is quite sturdy, easy to clean and was straight forward to set up although it takes a couple of minutes to work through setting the clock up and the 6 times at which it rotates to the next feed.And therein is the main problem. If you turn it off then it forgets all the settings so when you turn it on again you have to go through the simple but tedious process of setting it up again. So if you want to use it regularly (say every weekend) then you either have the choice of leaving it on, in which case it keeps turning every day unnecessarily wasting the batteries, or you have to keep setting it up every time you want to use it. This would be so much better if it had three modes - Off (switches it completely off), Standby (keeps the settings and the clock running but doesn't keep turning), On (fully working).Although I could set it up to feed my cat for 2 meals a day for 3 days (or even 1 meal a day for 6 days), I wouldn't use it for more than 2 days with wet food because my cat turns his nose up if the food has been in it for more than a couple of days (especially in warm weather). I think it would be fine for dry food though.BTW I have never bothered with the voice recording so I have no idea how easy that is to use and how effective it is.

Used as a hedgehog feeder outdoors for one feed per evening. Works well, but needs to be placed under cover if outdoors or all compartments fill with rainwater. Easy to programme but note that all data is lost when the unit is switched off and it will need to be reset each time. Feeder sunk into the ground slightly to make it hedgehog friendly!

Bought prior to moving house in order for cat to get used to a new way of feeding while still in a familiar setting. However cannot always rely on device opening at set times. Fortunately I'm at home so can make sure cat does not miss a meal but not sure if it can be relied upon if I have to go away over night. Will try for a little longer but may have to return.

We use a feeder all the time to control our cat’s weight but particularly need it to work properly while we were away when we have a house sitter. It is a bit fiddly to set up as the clips are quite stiff and the programming tricky due to the rather dim display. However, it was set to open twice a day through stages 1 to 6, so covering 3 days of feeding. It arrived the day we went on holiday. It seemed to work fine initially but after a few days it didn’t work, this continued during our holiday. On returning home I investigated what was happening.The problem is that the feeder only works for a maximum of 6 feeds. Then it needs resetting by pressing the Start Now Button before the next feed. This may seem trivial but it’s easy to forget particularly for a house sitter who’s unfamiliar with the feeder. I don’t understand why the feeder doesn’t have a continual mode where it carries on from Tray 6 to Tray 1, when all 6 feeding times are set. A previous 4 Tray feeder did exactly this and had the same programming system and general design.This feeder would a very good product if this issue was addressed and may work for people who don’t need the continual feeding that we need.The supplier was friendly, quick to respond and understanding; I have now returned it for a refund.

Followed instructions and worked perfectly. Good for overnight if away. Used before going to make sure worked.

Perfect for my Husky puppy. Set times to feed and let it do its thing. Can even record your own voice.I was sceptical at first about getting this device, but thought I would give it a go.It uses 4 x C batteries not included. Popped them in, quick read of the simple to follow instructions and my puppy is now fed perfect portion sizes 3 times a day.

Estamos teniendo problemas con la puerta. Lo tenemos programado y el de primera hora, no se abre. Si no lo haces manual, no funciona bien.
