Source Widepac Water Tank

I had my last Source hydration bladder frequently for +2.5 years and it has been the best. This replacement I can tell is the same quality and it is a great design as the entire top opens up making it easy to refill from taps and clean.

I bought this after my boyfriend got fed up of me always using his!Pros:- Wide neck, so easy to fill with the slide lock top and to dry out.- The orange slide lock that is used to seal the wide neck works really well, I never fear a leak- There is a valve on the Source Widepac that closes up when you disconnect the drinking tube. This means you can fill the waterbag while the tube is not connected with out water spilling out of the bottom of the bag. I find this particularly helpful when putting the waterbag into my rucksack too as the gap for feeding the mouthpiece out from the inside to the outside of the bag is very narrow and otherwise hard to squeeze the drinking tubes through.- We've never had issues with anything nasty found to be growing at the bottom of the bag. This is because you can fully open the bag out to let it dry after you've finished using it.- Mouth piece has three features that ensures water only comes out when you want it to: (i) cap to keep it clean, (ii) twist lock so that the mouth piece valve is either locked shut or is open, (iii) you have to bite on the mouth piece, once unlocked, to open the valve and allow water flow.- Tube feeds from the bottom of the bag, so you can continue drinking until it is empty- The orange lock has a slit in the top that can be used to suspend the waterbag from a hook inside your walking rucksack - again, helpful for ensuring you get the very last drop of water out the bag.Cons:- The only downside, as with all water bags, is that it is hard to dry/clean out the tube. However, even here, because the tube disconnects from the main bag, it is easier than some to dry out

I use my hydration bladder at least once a week, so it has to last and be easy to clean. I have tried Platapus and Camelbak, but Source is definitely the best of the three and the most durable.

A direct replacement for the Deuter 2l bladder, but a fair bit cheaper. Both made by souce so the quality should be good. My old unit lasted for years and then probably only gave out due to being stored crumpled up (nasty creases in it). Bite valve is slighty different to the older ones and works fine. Unlike my old Deuter version this one the delivery hose can be removed and cleaned. Time will tell if it's worth an extra star. Five stars to "All I want is". Received a "shipped" email shortly after placing the order at 11am and received it the next morning. How's that for service !!.

I’ve had water carriers in the past but with only a small filling hole. This is much better. I can put orange and lemon slices in with the water and ice too. It’s so easy to clean out and I like that you can detach the tube without water spilling out.It’s never easy to dry water carriers like this out completely but that’s par for the course. I was them out with Milton every so often to try to avoid any nasty build ups of bacteria.I would recommend this water carrier and a lot less expensive than the Osprey carrier which would have matched my rucksack.

We have used these Source packs for many years. They last as well as can be expected for a flexible plastic product. Parts can be replaced, they can be cleaned and dried very easily. The reviews are equally good. Highly recommended!

The product is OK. There could be a bit more flow in the mouth valve, but its usable.The hose connector was leaky on mine, and when I contacted the source customer support explaining and attaching pictures via their website, they completely ignored my issue, and never got back to me!

No bad taste ( as long as you let the water in the tube drain back after drinking). Great mouthpiece. Works very well.
