I own an 1920's house with high ceilings. The few overhead lights are powered on/off by pull chains. Pull on them for years and they eventually jam. This means a tall person has to try to unjam, using a stepstool, and it's not always successful. If you can't unjam, you're faced with replacing the entire light fixture.I was lucky: the overhead light that jammed was in the "on" position. So I could just temporarily unscrew the light bulb. But how to fix? Getting an electrician to install a new light can cost $100 or more.This little miracle worker did the trick. Using a floor lamp, I "paired" the matching bulb for the ceiling light with the remote and tested it. Pairing was super-simple!Cue the helpful tall person, who installed the paired bulb in the ceiling fixure and replaced the glass cover.Then I used the included sticky tape to stick the remote to a convenient wall. I'm not sure why they bother including a plastic border for the remote; I just discarded that, leaving a sleek little 2"x3" wall switch.One innovation I added: the remote came with an indented circle and line for "on" or "off." I'm a tech idiot so I can't EVER remember which is which. (And I'll bet other older folk unused to symbols or with poor eyesight might not, either.) So I put a spot of GREEN nail polish on the "on" symbol and a spot of RED on the "off." So even without my reading glasses I can easily see what to push.I liked this enough I bought another for a room with no overhead light at all and used it in a plain old pole light. I always used to have to reach for the pole switch and it was a big PIA if my hands were full. This gadget solved that problem as well.I may end up buying more. Having old pull-chain fixtures is annoying - either you flail around trying to grab them and/or they are bopping you in the head.The Hapythda remote bulbs have made me Hapy, too.

Use it to turn on light in basement that was previously controlled with a pull string. This switch was easy to install and work well.

Had a lightbulb in three closets with remote that need direct site and worked part of the time. Switched to these Bluetooth items and they work fantastic. Light switch can be anywhere in the room with the door closed and will work. Also connected up with Alexa easily. I have them on a schedule now to auto shut off after an hour since my kids tend to leave them on and forget to turn them off.

The media could not be loaded.  I wanted something my daughter could turn on and off herself since she can't reach the room switch. This was the PERFECT thing to attach to her bed so she can turn the light on and off. We used it in a lamp, but I originally saw it from my best friend who had it in their overhead lights. Ours just wouldn't work like that and I like the lamp even better!!

Works great

Needed a flexible adapter for old pull chain light. Screwed remote adaptor in that & works like described. The only thing I did different was take 2 pieces of velcro instead of the sticky foam for the wall. Easier to change battery when necessary.

Socket came without switch. Another set was sent. Works quite good when all the parts are delivered.

had a few lights in my basement that still uses the pully thing to power on off. replaced them with these, put the power button on the wall. super easy to install.

Can illuminate several areas at the same time from different switches placed in different parts of house or outside. Handy.

No more walking around in the dark

Wow! Super….perfect and does what it supposed to do out of the box..very easy…not setup required. I recommend!

Doesn't work or Sinc I don't know. There was no Instructions anywhere with the Package. And no sticky pad as it says it should've been Included. I'll ask for refund later today. Or may be someone can explain please
