excellent quality picture
Very easy to install, great design apart from not being able to remove the usb connector or plug to feed through walls etc . Has been working for nearly a year now. App is a bit clunky but does work OK

Great camera, but cable not thought through.
The cable is not well thought out at all one end is a massive USB connection, the other is a plug - not sure how you are meant to get this through a wall, other than cutting the cable and then rewiring the plug. Not what you would expect from £170 camera -.- Having said that, it is an excellent camera, yes you need to factor in the cost of the Nest Aware service, it is not optional if you intend to use for anything serious. Buying another one.

Changes how it works after you purchase it.
The fact that Google makes changes without your consent makes this not a good choice. Their recent change makes the status light mandatory, so makes it useless as security camera or to keep an eye on your baby.

Could Be Better
I am starting to get used to this devices foibles. The camera does not always pick up people even though they are right in front of it, the camera does not always notify the phone an event has occurred, by the time you get a notification the person has left and its too late to speak to them. The sound is quiet on the camera. It does seem to me a lot of money for its numerous shortcomings but I still kind of like it.

Easy to install
Very happy with the camera and picture quality. I do agree with the other comments on the usb cable connector on the chunky side I just made a bigger hole then covered it with a white upvc cap. Subscribe if you wish.
