Wonderful book. Easy to follow and well layed out. My 5 and 7 year olds have made every model in the book and love making these models as the instructions and diagrams are very easy to follow. Highly recommended as gifts for grandparents! (the models not the book :)

Got this as a gift with a packet of Daz clay. Some lovely little figures to make, simple instructions with photos. The recipient of the gift was very happy with it and I have seen some great results with the Daz.

I'm an adult wanting to learn clay modelling from scratch, so I was quite intimidated by the large font that likely only had children in mind even though the book is wordy.The book contents are good; as well as an introduction, there is a page explaining clay modelling tools and their cheap alternatives. The instructions for making each animal is detailed enough and helpful. A worksheet for each animal is at the end of the instructions, for children working in groups.It's such a shame the step-by-step photos are in poor quality black & white. They look like grainy photos that have been photocopied, further reducing clarity.

An excellent resource for EYFS/KS1 practitioners to use. Simple and clear instructions with photographs to follow. I used it with a YR class and the end result was 30 frogs, all of whom had their own individual look!
