Absolutely love this! It heats fast and shuts off if left alone. It straightens with ease - my hair grows with a funky, weird wave and this iron smooths it straight right away. And it curls great - better than my curling iron! Highly recommend this iron!

I use this hair Landot straightener/curler on my medium-length bob. My hair is fine but not thin, so it works like a dream, adding soft curl, volume and smoothness all-in-one! I really like the design because the controls are on the inner side of the handle so my fingers don’t accidentally change the heat setting or turn it off while using it on my hair. This set came with instructions which recommended various heat settings depending on the texture of your hair. I like the useful accessories this straightener/curler came with, which add to the quality of the product. I would highly recommend this Landot straightener/curler!

I do love the results of the curls. It heats up nice, I like that there's a lock button so you can't accidentally turn it off or change the temperature, and the plates are nice and smooth. However, the design has a couple of flaws.As mentioned in other reviews, in order to hold it tight you have to push on the buttons. If you hold it lower to avoid the buttons, it doesn't tighten very well so you're hair falls out and you can pinch your finger in the hinge. If you're holding it with both hands, one on the base and the other at the tip, if you let go of the base the tip only holds the tip closed so your hair will fall out if you let go of the base. Why not just use a barrel you ask? Because there are days that I like to straighten my hair and I don't have a lot of space for a bunch of different tools. That's what I really loved about this, two in one, perfect!I gave this one a lot of time before I made my decision to return it because I really do love it but if I'm in a hurry I don't have time to worry about if I'm holding it tight enough, dropping it, repeating curls because my hair fell out or if I'm going to get pinched. This was just a frustration thing for me. I'm not discouraging anybody to give it a try because it really is an amazing tool and it works perfectly to straighten but if you want curls, it's a little bit more of a struggle.

The media could not be loaded. So I bought this because I thought the mini straightener. I had was total crap but, I guess I forgot that I got a better one last trip. So anyway, I will be comparing this to Wavytalk Mini Flat Iron for travel purposes. I didn't realize you could Curl with a Straightener, until I started doing research on these. As you can see in the images, I curled with the mini flat iron and I Curled with this. Now I don't particularly like either of them. Actually, but I do think this one should have made better curls. I think I slightly prefer the straightener curls even though it is harder to do them on such a tiny straight, but also saves you on space. There's a learning curve, but you get better. The straightener function on this full length device works just fine. But you probably already have a full size straight at home. So I don't really recommend anyone by this. And for travel, I recommend the mini straighter. It works really well.

At 1st, I was a bit skeptical of the design which looks conducive to curling not straightening BUT I was pleasantly surprised at how much better this design is for straightening AS WELL AS curling! I've used it 3 times now to straighten since getting it and messed with it for curling once. I don't use it daily. I have a chin length angled bob, normal to dry over processed (dye and heat tools) medium thickness hair with lots of natural curl that a blow dryer alone can straighten pretty well so only need help with the stubborn areas or next day when I don't wash it to smooth out the bedhead.PROS: design is great, locking temperature REALLY great, I love the textured flat tips to hold plates together in a cool area, comes with safety glove, nice velour storage bag and a couple of clips (that have an extra fold over piece I have no idea how to use!), it gets hot really fast, I don't need to put it on higher temps to get results like other brands where I'm at max temps this one I'm at about 370°F. Easy to use. Locks closed when ready to store. Curls and straightens well. Display turns green when ready. Keeps flashing when off but still plugged in which reminds you to unplug it. Has clear instructions.CONS: the barrel gets really hot which I assume is for the curling feature so wear the glove provided if using at higher temps! Start lower than you think you will need and gradually increase if necessary!Really happy so far. Hope I get longevity with this tool.

OK, I have bad hair- fine, thin, colored and permed. I own practically every hair tool on the planet and still struggle every morning to look put together. I think my search is over! Here is why I'm so happy with this purchase:1. Easy to use: If you have used a flat iron, you can use this first time out of the box. And the results are much better than a flat iron. No plate marks, curls are curvy instead of straight, hair does not snag on plates, temp can be adjusted to multiple types of hair. For my fine hair, I set the temp at 330.2. Nicely wrapped and packed: Opening the box, it feels much more expensive than its actual cost. I particularly like the fact that it includes a silicon protection pad and a nice travel pouch.3 Price: I gazed longingly at the high priced competitor but couldn't bring myself to pay $150+ for ANOTHER hair tool. This works so well I am so glad I went for this one.4. My hair started out looking like a frizz mop and ended up looking fabulous (used heat protectant, of course).Not sure how it would work on heavy, thick hair, but for hair like mine I would highly recommend.

I’ve only owned this straightener for approx 3 months- it’s worked okay, I don’t have a whole lot of complaints other than the fact that one of the plates on this thing is already chipping BADLY..Very poor quality if it’s been less than even half a year and it’s already deteriorating like this
