400ml Natural Effects Spray Paint - Cast Bronze

Garden ornaments were looking tired and weathered so I resprayed them black and over sprayed lightly to restore that antique look.

Like many others have mentioned, this can became unusable after just a few seconds of spraying due to a terrible nozzle. I also found the pressure in the can to be far too high, which ruined my first application. I had to sand the item back down and replace the nozzle with one from a Krylon can I had on hand. With the Krylon nozzle, the paint applied as a much finer mist and the finish was significantly better. You really don’t get any second chances with this paint—it’s extremely difficult to remove once applied. The combination of the poor nozzle and excessive pressure makes it very hard to work with, and you absolutely must hold the can upside down for a few seconds after each use to clear it, otherwise it blocks immediately. That said, the colour itself is lovely and exactly what I was looking for—a flat, matte bronze rather than a shiny, mirror-like finish, which isn’t easy to find. It’s just a shame the delivery system lets it down so badly.

Bought this to spray a garden statue, wanted a deep bronze, the spray went on really well and I can't fault the product but the colour is very bright and when the sun is on it almost blinding, I will be trying to find this down maybe with a black paint wash. So good product but colour not what I expected or wanted

Very good - colour exactly as described. Easy to apply - I sprayed a too white Xmas birch tree with lights - delighted with result. I used the whole can, not very economical.

I am an artist and used loads of various paints and techniques. I found this item to be very watery and as a result susceptible to runs. There didn’t seem to be much paint in the can and it only covered a 1/3 of what I regularly spray paint. The colour in the manufacturers picture above is a very poor representation of the actual shade which has a more orangey metallic hue… make your own mind up…hope this helps!

I must say initially that I have used Rustolium primer and top coat paints extensively in the past with complete success in terms of finish and value for money satisfaction. That said, I consider this paint expensive rubbish! Firstly, after vigorously shaking the can as required, my first spray attempts were rewarded with a dark brown colour finish rather than the required bronze. In addition, unlike other aerosols from the same manufacturer, this can is not fitted with with the larger diameter spray button but one that looks like it was taken from an old fashioned deodorant. On top of that, in operation, it feels that the container is pressurised at a much higher level than others resulting in more effort to operate the spray and increased difficulty in controlling the spray intensity. The spray was either off or blasting away at a high flow rate and therefore I found it impossible to achieve an initial thin base coat but there was potential for plenty of runs. My last point concerns the extent of coverage that others have also commented on. I wanted to coat a flower trough that had a non porous surface and I estimate a surface area of around 0.6 square metre which my can of paint didn’t fully cover. On the can Rustolium quote a coverage of ‘approximately’ 2 square metre which I consider a joke. The end result is a ruined project thanks to a abysmal quality product.

This is the second time I've purchased this, I love the colour and covers well. I use it on outdoor pots and it seems to last very well (so far).

I just love this spray. It's more expensive from the Sprays that I find hier but it has super coverage for plastic , and I need only one coat,and the color is super also. It's the third time I ordered it . Thanks
