Q: Hi what age is this from could I put a 3 and half month old in.?

It depends how big/heavy they are. We used it until baby was about 16lbs but found it too unstable and uncomfortable after this weight. As I said in the review, it would be better if it had straps around the waist that stop the arm straps slipping and the fastening catch ending up on the back of your neck, which is obviously uncomfortable but I worry that it is also unsafe. I

Q: Do you have to fasten this at the back or do you just put it on over your head?

You put the baby in fasten with velcro then put it on like a backpack. There is a clip which you then fasten

Q: I want to carry my baby on my back whilst doing housework...is it possible to put it on by myself alone?

Yes it's really easy I take my baby on flights , shops all over and put it on and off myself

I bought this for my granddaughter she was only 2 months old when my daughter first put her in it and she was just fine you just have to use your judgement you know your baby .
