Brilliant! Cleared up scalp issues with no adverse effect on my hair.
After changing to a toothpaste without the infamous SLS I no longer suffered from the deep cracks in my lips that I used to suffer from all year round. So as I have been suffering an itchy flaky scalp for many years I decided to try and ditch shampoo. I am not prepared to go for the self cleaning option (which doesn't work, your hair just stinks) so I tried using a baking soda mix followed by rinsing with apple cider vinegar. I was very impressed by how well it cleaned my usually oily hair. Wanting something easier to use I looked into these shampoo bars. I wasn't expecting much as I am in a moderately hard water area. After 2 washes I have been amazed by the effect on my scalp and skin. I immediately lost the itchy feeling on day 2 after shampooing and no more dandruff. My hair is as clean as before and the rash on my back that I have had for the last 20 years has cleared up. Also the smell is subtle and not overpowering. I do follow up with a cider vinegar rinse and then I spray Organix Argan oil on my damp towel-dried hair, which restores the shine and condition. If you don't do this your hair will be too dry. I have long, thick dark hair so I was worried about the condition and appearance. Although the texture is not as smooth as before, it has developed a really nice wave and is just as shiny. I also bought the chamomile and citrus in case I didn't like the smell of this one, but haven't tried it yet.

Thin mustard
I use Dijon mustarde in my home-made salad dressing, and I'd run out of the one I usually use and decided to try this one. It's OK; nothing special. The texture is quite thin for Dijon mustard - more fluid than others I've used. The flavour is OK, and it has a sharp bite so I used less in my dressing than I usually do. I'd use it again, but probably not as a first choice.

Best Dijon
Superb dijon, best currently available, not excessively hot and tastes great. Small jar though I'm ordering two next time.

I'm a convert :))
I actually was very sceptical about some of the reveiws these shampoo bar had received but was curious to give it a try. after trying it out for a week I'm a total convert :) I just can't believe you can wash your hair with this bar of soap and not use conditioner and get the results I'm getting. I'm amazed. My hair looks so much thicker and has a nice shine too. I must say when you first use it your hair feels a bit kind of waxy and tangled but the tangles come out easy with gentle brushing and once it dries, the waxy feeling disappears. I've also noticed I'm not losing so much hair when washing it. I've bought a different one to try out too.

Not for me
First of all I would like to commend the seller for very prompt dispatch and delivery. I have shoulder length slightly fine fair hair, I don't use styling products or heavy conditioners so I do not suffer from buildup. I read the enclosed instructions about the likelihood of a transition phase so I expected my hair to feel a little odd initially. I also researched good technique when using these bars - it's important to massage the product thoroughly through the hair and work up a good lather in order to loosen any dirt on natural oil. Good rinsing is also important. However after a couple of weeks of persevering I have had to give up - with each successive application my hair has become increasingly lank, dull and waxy. A vinegar rinse did not help. I have to look fairly groomed for my job and unfortunately I cannot carry on looking like this. With great relief I have done a traditional shampoo and my hair is now going back to normal. These soaps clean without harsh detergents, which is good for the environment and for your scalp, and they clearly work for some people, but sadly I'm not one of them. It should also be said that if you live in a hard water area the waxy buildup is likely to be worse. Nevertheless, these bars can also be used on the face and body - my skin was left wonderfully moist and silky afterwards, though after a week my face did break out in spots, likely due to the oil content of the soap. Worth a try, but definitely not for me.
