Great
Perfect, and brilliant as you can set how dark you want the toast on both settings

Nice toaster, but flex is a bit short.
The grill on my cooker has broken, so I bought this as a 'quick fix' for making toast. I've had a few toasters over the years but the Mrs has broken all of them by forcing breadcakes into the slots, which in turn set on fire and destroyed the elements. Thankfully this has nice wide slots (but still not wide enough for breadcakes!!) and fits most regular sized slices. It grills them relatively evenly and there are separate adjustments for each side (like 2 toasters). You can also re-heat toast. Blue LED strips light up when in use, which looks good. The metal finish looks great but picks up fingerprints easily (as expected). It's easy to clean the crumbs out by ejecting the trays at the bottom. The only problem we've had, is the flex is really short. I tend to pull it out from underneath the kitchen cupboards when in use, but it doesn't come out very far. Other than that, I really like the toaster and it's been a good purchase.

Good toaster overall.
Really like it, works well, looks great and toasts nicely. Quite small toaster slots though so doesn’t handle larger loaves too well.

On this occasion getting something twice the price does not contribute to a better machine.
Previously we had a Dualit 46205 4 Slot Lite Toaster. It was twice the price of this toaster and not a patch on it. Ours after less than 6 months broke down (well done Amazon for refunding the cost) and also the quality of toast was not good but this one is excellent. It works fast and also does an even toasting on both sides and unlike the previous one mentioned above the second toasting is not darker and inconsistent - this toaster "does what it says on the tin" - it is brilliant - on this occasion gettgin something twice the price definitely did not work. Looks good (including the blue light) and is easy to clean and appears well made. The top is easy to clean as there is no ridge for crumbs to go and subsequent difficulty for cleaning. Well done Russell Hobbs

Okay if you buy square bread
Well, after reading some of the reviews (positive and negative) I decided to go for it. I have mixed views after using it a few times. I will cover the basics in terms of size of bread (this was and remains an important factor) and toast it produces. It is true that this toaster will take some thick pieces of bread and crumpets etc. The problem is the overall size of bread in terms of length and breadth is problematic. We use Warburton's bread and this roughly has a length of 145mm and width of 120mm (Pretty average really so why make the slots small?). The length of the bread (on its side) is too long to get in the toaster and so you have to stand it up. This means that you have about 30mm sticking out the top of the toaster and thus you will have to turn the bread, or buy square bread of 120mm x 120mm. This is quite annoying and product description would have been better to have some dimension information on it.Now, as to toast then (as the other reviews have said) this bad boy is a `nuclear' toaster and gets the toast brown in no time. So start low and trial it. The down side as well to this (if you have children) is the top edges of the toaster are a serious hazard (as would be expected as it is a toaster after all) as they become very hot very quickly. So, make sure you leave this to cool down where little hands can't get near it.Stylish? Well, yes it looks ok but function is probably more important than looks. So overall I have given this product a 3 stars as it really needed to have greater capacity for todays bread that remains on the whole not a standard square, poor thinking Russell Hobbs.

I love this
Bought this to replace a Russell Hobbs one and this is so much better. The slots aren't particularly deep, so putting in a size vertically leaves the top untoasted. I always put the bread in on its side and it browns it so evenly. It is also so quick. There is barely enough time to boil a kettle it is so quick. The max setting is actually too much, whereas on most toasters max seems to be what's needed to get a decent browning. So a basic enough toaster in that it doesn't have loads of additional features, but what it does do, it does do extremely well.Worth every penny, and potentially should be more expensive for how well it works. One of the best kitchen appliances I've ever bought
