Fun but just a bit too limited and buggy
I left a comment on someone else's review but should probably just leave a review, so here it is:I like the Mover and enjoy writing apps with my daughter, but can't really recommend it as we rarely use/play with it because of issues with it.There's a few issues which put us off, some or all of which I'm hoping can and will be fixed, which case I'd jump this all the way up to 4 or even 5 stars:1) The software for my computer (PC only at the moment) is buggy - I had to change two undocumented things to get it to work. I'm hopeful that will be fixed by the guys at Tech Will Save us and I'll monitor that. I see someone else said they had an issue so I'll suggest the fix to them.2) The gesture recognition isn't great. Not sure if that's a hardware or software thing.3) There's a limit to what you can do with it. It would be nice to have one or two more programming constructs - especially some variables (variables, in programming, are where we store information).I actually wonder if TechWillSaveUs could just open source their software - I'd be happy to look at some of this myself!I have discussed this with my daughter, and she got annoyed with it not working (not caring how I fixed it), has complained it didn't recognise what she did and has started to get bored with it after not-too-many hours.She does like changing the colours, but is also confused about how to move between apps and what app is what. A one character display would be great if there's ever a Mover 2.And I'm hopeful that perhaps TechWillSaveUs will add a variable or two for us to use (put it in an advanced section if you're worried about confusion, TWSU).

Has potential but a limited range of activities
I bought this because it offered a chance for my children to code for fun and because it offered a way to get children moving. The set up seemed good and it was easy enough for my daughter to start but after that all the options seemed to offer were activities which light up different combinations of lights. The lack of variety grew stale and it was put on the shelf after a few days so all in all wasn't worth the investment.
