After getting several extortionate quotes for bathroom fitting (£6k+ materials ) for 6 days work there was no way I was going to pay that. There's a lot too plumbing but its not rocket science, this book is an excellent start, not a complete bible but with the book, with some research and some supplementary information from Youtube and your friendly local plumbing merchants you can save yourself thousands of pounds by taking the DIY route

This book is very basic and clearly written for the US market.

I got this book because I was mad at the wait times whenever trying to get a plumber for anything. Some times they would not even show up or want the project I had because it was too small of a project (not worth the travel). With this book i was up and running in no time. I was able to change toilets, Kitchen and bathrooms syncs, and some more complicated stuff. You can read it like me (back to back) or read the section for the project you need. This book is golden, specially now that plumbers and electricians have sometimes crazy wait times and prices even for simple stuff if high. Get this book and thank me later, and pick up also the black and decker home wiring guide book, Another golden book everyone should have.

Like the book, good illustrations and instructions. Gave me the confidence to install a new kitchen sink and a new dishwasher on my own, saving us an estimated bill of $450. I will be using this to assist with replacing a broken bathroom faucet, pipes in the well house etc. etc.

my father was a DIYer, and it appears I am one too. His book/magazine of choice was the Sunset Series, It's looking more like Black & Decker will be my go to (for DIY projects). Good photos, clear and concise writing, what more do you need?
