Very nice looking light with great light output. Shallow depth makes it great for low ceilings such as finished basements

Replaced old style light fixture so wiring knowledge is needed. Actually, easier to install than old style light fixtures. Excellent brightness, built in diffuser, controlled through a dimmer switch.

I bought a pair of these 9" ceiling lights for the vaulted ceiling in my living room. Overall I'm happy with the results. I did find a few minor problems. Installation wasn't all that easy, partly because I'm working from a 15' ladder propped up against the slanted ceiling (not the light's fault). The plastic holder that screws to the ceiling is fine but lining up and twisting the light fixture into the holder is not easy because the pigtail wires with wire nuts are constantly getting in the way. I finally taped them in place with 2" wide cellophane tape to make it easier. Secondly, the short pigtail coming out of the lamp is like AWG#24 wire. Good luck getting that to attach to your solid copper #12 or #14 house wiring with the wire nuts. I ended up making my own pigtail extension so that I could make the connection to the house wiring inside a 4x4" metal pull box I installed above the ceiling. I would probably take the seller to task with his description as "Super Bright!" It puts out decent light but not exactly blinding. Of the three switch-selectable colors (Warm, Med, Daylight) I went with Warm as it most closely resembles the incandescent-looking lighting in the rest of the living room. And there was one more annoyance that will only bother a small percentage of people - this light generates a fair amount of radio frequency interference (RFI). This is due to the switching power supply inside the fixture that converts the 120VAC house power to a DC voltage for the LEDs. A spectrum analyzer shows most of the RFI is in the 100-150MHz frequency area. Cheap non-shielded power supplies from China are notorious for generating a lot of interference; this one is no different. (I somewhat reduced the RFI by winding each pigtail wire with 3 turns through ferrite toroid cores.) I chuckled at the FCC Compliance logo stamped on the back of the lamp; I willing to bet money this product has never been near an FCC testing lab. But, at least they spelled FCC correctly :) On the positive side the lights look good and produce a very even illumination.

It's been two years of living with the weird directional spotlights in the main room of our home. While they would be wonderful for--say--an art gallery, for a general living space, they created super-bright hot spots of light, surrounded by weird shadows. We couldn't point them directly at things like the couch or recliner (where light was needed) because living in a spotlight will send you blind! I finally went on the hunt for replacements, and settled on these flush mount LEDs. The reviews mentioned how easy there were to install, and I wanted dimmable lights because the switch was already installed. I LOVE THESE LIGHTS. I replaced all 8 spotlights on my ceiling (at about 11 feet high, on a slope). You can see in the pix the difference in lighting and the absence of weird shadows--one pix is a combo of before and after). These lights are SO bright (we have them dimmed most of the time, since there are 8 of them). We loved the option of choosing the temperature of light, especially since I love warm, and my husband loves cool (we settled on the middle choice of daylight). They dim wonderfully, and were SO EASY to put in. Together, all 8 took me just about an hour, and that was with maneuvering the giant ladder around the room. The look is much modern, and the low profile just basically disappears against the ceiling. They've been up for about a week now, and we are still immensely pleased.

These are very, very bright white light. When they are on, they almost give the impression of being recessed lighting. Just be aware that the bulbs are not replaceable; one must replace the entire unit. They are supposed to last 50K hours, which is approximately 5.7 years straight, so I feel that’s a fair trade. I got the box of 6 and have 2 left for trading out.

Easy installation. Truly ceiling hugging, covered the ring left by the older, smaller ring-style compact flourescent Bright, wife liked the 3 color choices, which we used 4500K for the 2 in the hallway, and 3000K for the laundry room As they sit so close to the ceiling, it is difficult to tell that they are all plastic For $20 apiece, led energy efficiency, dang good deal

These are nice and bright, for their size. Pretty easy to install- granted, I'm an electrician, but my 11 year old son was able to install a couple on his own, just fine. They are color selectable, so make sure to get them all adjusted the same. If you get them in a multi-pack, they're not much more expensive than a keyless and a bulb, so pretty good value. Can't speak to the longevity, as we have had them less than a year, but no problems so far.
