Q: Is this suitable to replace the hose in hozelock wall mounted auto retractable unit?

Hello Sonya. No it isn't for a couple of reasons. Firstly the hose in the current Auto Reel range cannot be replaced as it involves opening the unit which we don't advise because of the spring. Secondly - the hose is a different diameter and so wouldn't layer properly anyway. Im sorry I cant give better news - Phill

Q: Wil this fit hozelock 12.5/15mm hose end fitting by Hozelock?

This hose is compatible with hozelock fittings and there will be no problem IF all you want to do is run water from A to B. BUT if you put a nozzle on the end of the hose this creates back pressure and the hose will blow out of the fitting and if you are holding it you will get wet. I have tried four different nozzles, two of them hozelock nozzles and it happens each time. The reason for this is that the hose diameter is too small for the fittings. An apparent remedy for this problem is to increase the diameter of the hose at the point of connection with the fitting by winding several turns of electrical or similar tape round the hose Slide the plastic ferule over the tape, push it into place and tighten up. I have tried this and so far it has held. The problem lies with Hozelock, if they had changed the plastic ferule to a smaller size to suit the smaller diameter hose there should have been no problem. (What I have called the ferule is the plastic ring with all the cuts in it that clamps on to the hose when the nut is tightened up.)
