JVL Grey Black Heavy Duty Barrier Anti-Slip Door Floor Mat 80 x 120cm

It replaced an identical mat we purchased eight years ago. Identical, that is, apart from the colour. The previous one was flecked black and that was the only reason we bought a new one. We had redecorated the kitchen and we thought a brown/fawn colour would suit better, and it does. Be careful when opening the packaged roll not to scratch the exposed edge with a sharp object eg knife or scissors (we did but happily now don't notice it).

We bought this to replace the much smaller door mat as we found that we were making our wooden floor quite dirty when we came in when weather was wet, windy and or cold as in our hurry to keep the weather out we had to step past the mat to close the door. This mat allows us to close the door sooner and keep our floor clean. We haven't had it long enough to rate it's durability or how easy it is to clean.

Size was exactly what we needed. Delivery was quicker than expected which was great. Only complaint is the brown is nothing like the brown in the picture, if anything it's more a tan than a brown. I've just gone and taken another look to make sure I'd not been sent the grey version by mistake, but it's definitely got a hint of brown in there, just nothing like that in the sample photo. If you order brown take a look at the grey, add a hint of brown and it looks like that.

Mat arrived rolled up, with a few marks on the rubber edging but nothing worth returning over. However, it's been sitting on my garden office laminate floor for over a week now and the rubber edging is still showing bumps from where it was rolled up in transit. I might try using an iron with something over it to flatten it out. I'm also unconvinced by its ability to actually trap dirt and moisture. I can spend a good 10 seconds wiping my feet and I still leave wet dirty footprints on the floor. It was cheap and feels cheap. I probably can't be bothered to send it back but I wouldn't recommend it. The only reason I bought this is because it's the only one I could find that was the perfect size for my office french door - most mats of this length tend to be about 90cm deep but I only wanted 60cm.

This is a great product - just what I needed to go by the front door for muddy Welly boots and dog paws. I love that it's rubber-backed so it doesn't slip around and thin so it doesn't obstruct the door. It's great to get this kind of thing in a decent colour too (mine is blue).Beyond that, the customer service I experienced was brilliant. After Hermes had tried to deliver it 3 times, it went back to sender and they were very helpful in making sure it got sent back to me.Thank you!

Looks good, and as long as you never actually use as a doormat will probably stay that way. After less than 4 weeks in use it is coming apart. The tufts are not woven, they seem to just be stuck onto the rubber backing, and consequently any actual use rubs them off. There are now bald areas and lots of loose tufts all over it. Don’t waste your money.

I have 3 dogs with permanently muddy feet, as well as untold number of adult children who seem to have lost the ability to wipe their feet on the outside doormat before they enter the house. I've had a million different mats, towels, forensic overshoes, everything in a futile attempt to keep my white, wood floor clean. These mats are brill! They can't help but pull the dirt off the paws and feet of all the untrainable animals in my house. And then every so often I give the mats a sweep and they're good as new. Definitely recommend
