Twelve South BookBook for iPhone 5, 5s, SE, brown | 3-in-1 leather wallet case, display stand

I love the idea of this case. Unfortunately for the price it seems to be quite poor quality. It doesn't seem to hold the phone securely all the way around. And the leather is already peeling away from the plastic insert slightly. When using the phone the case doesn't fold or sit well and feels clunky to use. Also, I believe I received one which someone had returned as the product packaging (not the Amazon box) was torn and scratched up.However, it looks beautiful from the outside and the leather exterior feels lovely. There is more room for the wallet part of the case than in other similar cases so it closed nicely even with 5 cards in.It would be a great case if the quality and attention to detail matched the price.

The Twelve South BookBook leather case for the Apple iphone 5S that I have is absolutely excellent! I can see that it will save your mobile from damage, should you manage to drop it and it protects your iphone from the eyes of the avaricious - who might want to steal it. I know that my iphone is protected externally and also protects the gold sheen of the case and its internal workings. There is room for three credit cards plus a photo-ID card, as well as a thin pocket for a £50 note - should you need it in the pockets provided. Personally, the more wear it gets the better it becomes in giving One the impression that its a Chaplet or Notebook item. Full Marks to Twelve South for this canny item!

OK, I realise that leather needs time to bed in, but I have left this case in all kinds of positions with books on it to loosen it up - to no avail.The flip is very springy and always wants to close (which is fine, you want that for if you drop it). However, this causes the case to want to spring out of your hand when bent back.Other reviewers on the apple site have complained abut the noise cancelling mic causing muffled calls when the cover is folded back. I haven't had that, but the drop risk is too frequent for me to continue with it.

The quality of this item is really poor. The layer covering the plastic holding the iPhone in place started to decompose around one month after. Yesterday part of the leather detached itself around the plastic section in charge of holding the iPhone. It's around the hole for the camera.I'm very disappointed, especially because I had the iPhone 4S version previously for over a year without any issue. I'm using it normally, not going to extreme by throwing it in water, sand or nuclear waste. Even though, for standard daily use, the quality is bad. I have several other items from Twelve South for my laptop and ipad, no issues at all.Low quality item that in the end makes it very expensive for what it is.

Beautiful product, and genuinely stuns those see it. Very cool. However be warned. If you place this regularly into your pocket with the camera downward, it will wear the corner very quickly. In my opinion, the cut-out for the camera is too large (much larger than required), and therefore the leather surrounding it, too narrow - thus wearing easily. I must stress, that Twelve South's service was exemplary, and I am so impressed with them.

Great quality & fit for the purpose. It has lovely suede on the inside aswell & protective sides in which the Iphone is incased within. Great Item.

The quality of the leather is great and the look is amazing. However the build quality over all is shocking. The leather round the camera has come unglued and is flimsy. The leather down the bottom left side has come unstuck and looks really bad. Last less than a month and forThe price should've lasted much longer.
