711099 13mm Keyless Chuck & SDS Adaptor

The delivery was within 24hrsI went to use the chuck adapter on my sds power-tooland it was fine for a couple of mins then the grip section of the unit came loose??I have had to use special solvent to help with it staying togetherNeeds further work to make it reliable in future(will order in the future for spare's when in use)7/3/20I have just used the sds and have found that if I use the (hammer) system switch on the unit without the adapter it works no problem ie (chiselling)and (Hammer Drilling)Gwyn

Chuck arrived under Hatachi's new trade name of Kokoki. A little rough in construction but works well. Do not use with hammer function as it is not designed to. Do this will cause it to fall too bits.

Very very good quality and value for money, you won't get a better one for 3 X the price! I was actually suprised and thought they had sent me the wrong one, I had to check because I couldn't believe I had got something of this quality for the price! Hitachi or hikoki as they are now called for £6.50! Bargain.

Used this for a job back in May 2020 and it was fine. Tried it again yesterday and it flew apart. This gave me the opportunity to examine the inner workings (once I'd retrieved them from their various locations around the garage!)The part of the assembly that failed was the threaded ring that moves the jaws of the chuck. For some reason this ring that is about 4mm in width had two 2mm holes in it 180 degrees apart, which massively weakened it and led to its catastrophic failure. I don't mean that my broken chuck was a catastrophe, just that the failure was instantaneous and complete. I guess you get what you pay for.

Reassuringly heavy, well made but only time will tell how robust it really is. Not the most beautifully cast SDS shaft that I've seen, but it's fine.Good value at full price, even better at half price for a Amazon Warehouse 'as new' item.
