Great book
This is a great book to get a good idea on different fashion designs and how to draw them. Originally brought for my Niece as she loves fashion & drawing but had to buy one for myself as well to add to my increasing collection of how to draw books. Now all i need is time to actually sit down and improve.

As with any of Hart's book, easy to understand.
I own several books on Christopher Hart and can say I really like the way he explains the process of doing things. Throughout the book, he explains things in a very simple and clear way; there is hardly any technical jargon. The one problem I have, is there is not much attention to clothing for men (or boys). There is about 4 pages which 4 examples for men, and the rest is on women/girl's clothes. It's not a major problem, you can just take what you learnt from the rest of the book and apply a similar approach for men/boys.I have noticed one review mentions that several drawings in the book are "sexualised". I cannot comment on if the illustrations are questionable, as I personally didn't find a problem with them. I don't want to start criticising another review too much as that would not be fair, yet some points they made I think are not right; but I will keep it brief. But having looked through the book, the points the reviewer brings up are in fact not the case; they are actually there to show or provide information relating to the book. In particular, the person wasn't happy with the way Hart writes. Hart gives simple explanations, which can make it easy to understand for people of all ages and skill level; this is present in all his books I have (of course, not everyone who will buy this will have read his previous work). But I do believe Hart approached this with very innocent intentions, although I can admit that I may be biased.I honestly appreciate the very simple, easy language and presentation Hart uses, this means I spend less time reading and more time drawing. Compared to a lot of other books, it looks to me that Hart focuses more heavily on the basics within the specific subject of the book.
