I bought this for my nephew's 7th birthday. Whilst the kit says 8+ the nephew is very ahead in this area academically and into science and engineering so I got him this (to use with some initial supervision). The build quality of the kit is superb, there are some really lovely touches (for example a flying spinner that's part of the kit is glow in the dark). The projects in the booklet are well described and easy to assemble, and the building blocks are designed in a way that it makes it easy to assemble the projects. There are also some very well thought out and engaging explanations as to what is going on within the projects. My nephew loves it - a really great educational toy especially for Lego enthusiasts who like building things

'Nuff said. What must be added is that the customer service and warranty, from manufacturers Elenco, is as good as you will ever find. They offer a genuine lifetime replacement guarantee on ALL parts. Our S1 switch came apart on Boxing Day. The quality seems great but sometimes things like that happen with any product. With some scepticism I completed their online replacement request form, as advised on the back of the instruction book, rather than returning the othrrwise perfect set to Amazon. They replied the next day and sent us a new one straight out from their UK distribution centre. In the long run this probably saves them money, but I can't help thinking that companies who make products like this probably have a higher goal.

I bought this in the US for my 6 yr. old grandson for his family's fall visit. He got into it so much that I bought another one via Amazon.co.uk when they returned to the UK. He loves it and has gone through every experiment/circuit. It is just the right combination of easy assembly, lights, sound, motion to give a 6 yr. old (and his Dad and Grandpa) a feeling of accomplishment for each project.

Bought this for my daughters 9 th birthday as she shown an interest in electronics and electricity on the house, she has already had hours of fun with the kit with hundreds more to come. The quality is excellent and each project gets increasingly detailed. Highly recommend over any other the cheaper products out there

Very good set.I got this for my grand daughter she loves it and finds it very interesting working out the various projects and the results when completed.The instructions are clear and also in picture form which makes building the circuits much easier.

My boys aged 9, 12 and 14 absolutely love this product! It creates endless fun and is also educational. Extremely good quality and would definitely recommend.

funktioniert alles einwandfrei, mein Jungen (8) hat selber angefangen die Beispiele zu bauen, und ist begeistert Es gibt vieles zu Tun, mit verschiedene Lichter, Lautsprecher, Mikrofon, IR Empfänger mann lernt über Frequenz, Kommunikation, Lichtfaser etc. Dazu gibt es ein Buch mit viele Erklärungen und ist wirklich gut. Lo compré para mi hijo de 12 años. El juego debe de estar muy bien. Digo "debe" porque mi hijo casi no ha podido jugar con él, ya que las instrucciones están en inglés y, al ser muy técnico el vocabulario utilizado, resulta complicado seguirlas incluso para mí.

This such a cool toy. A coworker recommended checking out snap circuits for my 6year old almost 7. I think he’s a little too young to do it by himself but it’s great family time. We randomly open a page and try and build it. It’s pretty easy to use overall and there are loads of builds to try.
