I have three types of moulding material, this stuff, oyumaru - which is like stiff silicone, and multimorph - which is hard like plastic when set. Unlike the last two this can be melted into a thick liquid and you can pour over whatever you want to cast. This sets a lot less rigid than the other two, it feels like those packets of jelly. The downside of this is that if you're trying to cast something that needs packing down, the mold may deform a bit, so it's probably best for pouring liquids into.I used epoxy resin with carbon fibre in it and the part came out fine with no need for any release agent.I think you can use a microwave to melt it, I did, but it come out very hot and you're not supposed to heat it up too much, so later I just put it in a pan of hot (not boiling) water on the stove and that worked great.Don't get water in it, as it seems to be slightly water soluble, but if you get loads of dirt or fluff on it this might be a good way of cleaning it off.
